São Paulo (Portuguese pronunciation: [sɐ̃w ˈpawlu] ( listen)) is one of the 26 states of the Federative Republic of Brazil and is named after Saint Paul of Tarsus. As the richest Brazilian state and a major industrial complex, often dubbed the "locomotive of Brazil", the state is responsible for 33.9% of the Brazilian GDP. São Paulo also has the second highest Human Development Index (HDI) and GDP per capita, the fourth lowest infant mortality rate and the third lowest rate of illiteracy among the federative units of Brazil. Ilha Anchieta State Park

O Parque Estadual Ilha Anchieta protege a segunda maior ilha do Litoral Norte do estado. São 17 km de costões rochosos e sete praias de águas cristalinas que contrastam com o verde da Mata Atlântica. Batman Alley

Street art and graffiti are no where as prevalent as in São Paulo, where virtually no surface is left untouched. This lengthy stretch of high-walled residences in Vila Madalena, nicknamed Batman's Alley, showcases some of the most impressive spray paint murals around. The constantly changing nature of the art form means there's sure to be something striking and new with each visit.

Morro Pelado

The landscape is privileged from the top of the mountain, at 1,400 meters of altitude, on the border between Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. The 360-degree view uncovers the entire city as well as nearby Mount Zion. A jumping platform draws the free-flying class on clear sky days. The hill is 4km from the center and access is by steep dirt road.

The Pedra do Baú national park holds the main attraction of the Mantiqueira Mountains. You can either hike to the Bauzinho which is easy or challenge yourself to climb one of the two sides of Pedra fo Baú on a guided adventure. Over 300m climbing on steel steps fixed directly on the rock will bring you to a breathtaking view of the regional green mountains. The small and charming city of São Bento do Sapucaí, where this park is located, is one of the most pleasant and preserved areas in the State of São Paulo. It’s restaurants, pousadas, museums and several artists make a longer stay worth wile.
