The experience was amazing. We are fully satisfied with service. The food quality was very good ☺️

We visited Ibiza Resort with Family last 5th and 6th June’22 to enjoy week end and returned home with lots of wonderful memories , and, longing to re-visit this place any time soon. I must say, this is one of the best luxury resorts I have ever visited. The magnificence of Ibiza is spell-bounding, lush green fields. The hospitality of the staffs was really praise-worthy, and the manager inside the restaurant (Mr.Aftab) was always up to fulfil all our requests on our holidays. Even we will never feel that we are guest here, it’s like family, Special thanks to Mr. Palash Ghosal and Mr, Aftab. Quality of the food was really good and the buffet spread was awesome. From strolling on the lush green meadows to boating in the waters. My 4 years old son added many more to our memories over there. Thank you so much Ibiza. It’s just amazing hospitality what we got from you. Feel like home.

Luxurious Stay

Reviewed By Sandy_JSR

Recently stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is situated at a walkable distance from Kalimpong market. The hotel is pretty spread-out, the entire property i.e., lobby, room, restaurant, lawn, banquet hall etc. were wonderfully maintained with eye catching décor and artifacts. My room was located at one floor down to lobby level. The room was very spacious with 2 queen beds, which can easily accommodate 4 pax, and was fitted with all necessary comforts and amenities. The washroom was equally spacious and provided with shower, bathtub, 24 hours running hot water etc., all necessary toiletries were also provided. The room had a balcony with beautiful mountain view, however due to cloud, the mountain view was somewhat prevented. The staffs were courteous and responsive. The lawn in front of restaurant had the most beautiful mountain view, a favorite place for photo ops. Overall a luxurious and comfortable stay, highly recommended.

The Elgin Silver Oaks, Kalimpong

The Elgin Silver Oaks was built in 1930 and once belonged to the prominent architect Frederick Desraj who built the old Teesta Bridge. It is now converted into a luxury hill resort in the Himalayas. Lounging in the landscaped gardens in a profusion of colour, one is treated to breathtaking views of the Himalayas. The natural decor is characteristic in the imposing Kanchenjungha which can be seen on a clear day, blooming petunias and asters, the serrated violet edges of iris, iridescent butterflies flitting through colourful azaleas, drooping geraniums, proud orchids and heaven, temporarily descends on earth. Sitting in one of the quaint gazebos, the tea seems to be flavoured by the refreshing winds of the Himalayas.

An Overpriced 2 star hotel

Reviewed By VinayLohia

To start with we booked this property looking at the nice reviews online. But the reality is quite different from what is portrayed in those reviews. First and foremost the location is quite far from the main town Kurseong. Takes around 20 mins of a steep climb on top of a dangerous hilly road to reach there . After reaching there the front office was not at all cooperative in getting Done the check in formalities. Took another half an hour to check in and reach the rooms. Now to the room, the executive rooms are very small and the washroom even smaller. Seems like the property is not well planned while building it. In the name of activities they have a game room having 3-4 games . There is also a kids play room which is not at all maintained and has just toys spread here and there. The place has only 1 resturant which is used for buffet breakfast and day long dining as well. The food is really not even average, breads are not fresh ,fruits not fresh, bakery items are stale. In the name of live items they have Dosa and omelette , which takes 15-20 mins to come after you ask for it. The only good part and the saving grace for this property is the amazing view around the area. A hill lover will surely love the calm and relaxed environment for a short holiday. The best part is the room charges for around 10k ( we went in summer vacation) . Put the facilities are no more than a 2 * property. I would definitely not recommend anyone to try this property. There are better options around.

Luxury at an affordable cost

Reviewed By Shaonwrites

Firstly thanks to the hotel staff for making our stay comfortable and glitch free. Though the name is forest retreat it's not technically inside a forest, but a forest exists inside the retreat. At night when you don't get to see the paddy field right next to the compund, the ambience completely resembles that of an actual forest resort. River Murti is a kilometer or so away. But it's difficult to access as u have to walk through a lot of vegetation. The resort boasts of its own personal lake and fishes served in its restaurant come from it, as claimed by the staff. Coming to the staff, the resort has a group extremely dedicated, well behaved and helpful staff. My personal thanks to one particular staff ( Don't know name) who helped me out in fixing my camera. The resort has its own pool where u can jump in anytime of the day and find clean water. There is a bar that is more or less well stocked. A snooker board, a well maintained gymn and a small reading space are its other amenities. So if u are bored in the evening u will have plenty of things to do apart from watching TV in your room. Coming to the rooms, they are simply luxurious and extremely well furnished. The bathroom is well maintained. All equipments, right from the geyser to body wash dispenser were working properly. Fresh toiletries are furnished everyday so don't bother to pack tooth brush or paste, if u plan to stay here. The restaurant serves good continental dishes, Chinese cuisine being it's speciality. But quality of Bong dishes was somewhat lacking. The complimentary breakfast is awesome and heavy ,and u can easily skip lunch if u plan to do so. A point of concern. There are a lot of insects. No matter how firmly we closed the doors and windows they somehow managed to creep in. In addition as per the resort guidelines it's best to avoid moving unnecessarily at night as there are poisonous snakes too. But that's the case with any jungle resort. Lastly a suggestion to the resort owners. Please arrange wash room on the ground floor of ur restaurant as it's difficult to climb up to floor 1 after every heavy and tasty meal.
