Reviewed By piggywigoinkWe decided to stay at Marine Piazza Okinawa thanks to the reviews shared in TripAdvisor. We felt warmly welcomed when we checked in the hotel even though the staff were struggling abit with conversing in English. They were very friendly still and did their best to answer our queries. This is the most spacious hotel room which we had stayed in during our trip. The twin beds felt comfortable and spacious (PS: we are on the petite side). There is a big balcony facing the sea and we could hang out wet laundry to dry on a drying line provided. There were clothes pegs provided which we found inside the wardrobe. There were at least 2 sets of futon which our children slept on. There was a spacious platform next to the wardrobe for setting the futon beds. The breakfast buffet even had a children buffet table; at the children’s height =) with ingredients and sandwich makers for the children and parents to DIY their sandwiches. There are also finger food for the children. The normal buffet spread is mainly Japanese cuisine which we absolutely loved. There is a large green field outside the reception level which had swings made from logs; see-saws; hula loops and more which our children enjoyed a lot. There was a building next to them which has dolphin programs (at your own cost) eg swimming with the dolphins. We were thankful we had the best sleep at this hotel. Definitely a hotel we can return to again and with longer stays.

Amazing stay!
Reviewed By albertodrsWe stayed at EXES for our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. The rooms were huge and we had ocean view. We could use our breakfast tickets for lunch, which sometimes was buffer and sometimes a la carte. The facilities are amazing and at the time when we were there (late Sept.) it was relatively empty, so for instance sometimes we were the only people by the pool, or sometimes 6-8 other people where there. The only downside is that hardly anyone of the staff can speak English, actually only at checkout we found a person that spoke it fluently. But it was fine, just a heads up to keep that in mind. All in all, worth what you pay for!

Positives: beautiful view of the sea from balcony, free parking, tasty breakfast included, the Okinawan restaurant was outstanding for trying local foods, attentive staff, the property sits right on the Expo park. Negatives: no gym, no room service, the spa was closed at the time due to the COVID state of emergency which was understandable. Also, nearby Bise tree grove is fun to explore, but, I think due to it being summer, there were large spiders everywhere in the trees!

Reviewed By FreedomtrailYour options at the hotel are dependent on what “level” you have which is dependent on how many nights you stay (?) and what color card you are given to wear around your neck. This information is based on our family having stayed five nights with a gold card. Pros – Nice beach, free lounge chairs and umbrella (gold card), free breach towels, free activities such as the banana boat ride (gold card), and the “glass bottom boat ride (gold card), free mask and snorkel for both adults and kids! The two buffets were nice. We went to the first floor on the first day, the second floor (gold card) buffet on the remaining days for breakfast. Fluffy pancakes, raspberry French toast, eggs benedict which were not offered on the first floor. Great view of the ocean, nice, clean room, and friendly staff. Very helpful. Cons – you have to line up in the morning to book any activity, only two per family unless you get back in line. Well, the Japanese love to line up, for hours, so enjoy the wait. Only two computers for booking and maybe and maybe several hundred rooms at the hotel? Same with the buffet, on both floors. Enjoy the wait! The free beach towels were only offered at the inside pool, but you can take them to the beach. Why so far away from the beach? Finally, the outside pool closes at 5:00 PM! Sunset is not until 7:00 PM! This is ridiculous! And if you swim in the ocean, no life jacket required. If you use a mask, no life jacket required. If you use fins, no life jacket required. However, the moment you use a snorkel, you must wear a life jacket. Not sure how to explain that. What I hate about this hotel is the animals they have locked up in tiny cages. A wallaby in a cage the size of a bathroom. Sea turtles locked up in small pools. Tiny pools. African turtles in small enclosures. Exotic birds in small cages, dolphins locked up, and manta rays locked up. Not fun to see that at all and everyone seems unsympathetic to their plight.

Great resort for a family stay
Reviewed By PratikA736We stayed in superior rooms with ocean view on 4th floor which had splendid open ocean view. Well managed checkin/out process, does not take much time. Resort facilities are quite decent. Swimming pool is nice , the beach club has lot of nice water sports options and the highlight is the ocean park. Room service is prompt, we had requested a change in pillows which was attended to very promptly. The breakfast spread was nice with good options available

Bad, they charge for everything including the gym. Good, a nice pool., reasonable breakfast buffet considering the condition of the room. Price under 10000 yen is the only good point.Trust my review I know it and Japanese hotels well.Onna area has the worst weather on the island.

Good family resort, closed bar was a minus
Reviewed By Matt CThis is a great resort for families with kids. It's well located and the view is amazing. The food is pretty good as well, though it can be pricey. There no shortage of alcohol available, but they made the odd decision to close the coral bar while we were there. One night we really wanted cocktails and couldn't get them because no bar was open. Seems like a strange choice. It is a very nice place to stay, though, in the final analysis.

Great family-type resort
Reviewed By StefanNTokyoI am a frequent visitor to Okinawa but this was the first time for me and my family to stay at this specific hotel. Overall great facilities. Very family-friendly. The nearby private beach has terrific water sports including the unrivalled sea walk experience I did twice with my son. He also loved the glass-making workshop which is a great creative activity for kids. The BBQ dinner buffet was splendid. We stayed for a week during the global pandemic and it was sad to see so few people at such a big place. But the resort staff were really making those of us there really feel welcome. Also, with fewer people around, it was very easy to relax by the hotel pool. Great ocean and nature views from our hotel room.
