First time to the Island
Reviewed By 741terrirHotel is a resort style holiday destination. We found the staff were really friendly and professional, but there could of been some more service around the pool & beach area. The resort itself seems a little tired around the pool deck area also with lots of damaged flooring (which I almost tripped over). We stayed in the pool access room which honestly I wouldn't waste your money upgrading to it as the pool connected to your room is only knee deep and you can't swim in it. The rooms were nice except for the patch of mould on the roof ( nothing that a bit of bleach wouldn't fix). The gardens in resort are also lovely. They had 3 restaurants at the resort with 2 open. The breakfast in the morning is very very busy. It seems there are not enough staff to run it as there were a lot of items that had run out that needed refilling. But we did hear its hard to get the staff at the moment. The staff that stood out at breakfast was AI (Annie) who every day went out of her way to make us comfortable and happy. Kaa also welcomed us and was there to help. The hotel manager Alvaro was so helpful and friendly and showed us great places to see on the island. His recommendations were really good and made our holiday a lot more than what we planned. The weather rained the first half of our stay so it was good to do other things than just sit by the pool. Hotel was worth the value.

Reviewed By Francesca LVi and her staff made this an unforgettable holiday. They even gave us a free upgrade to the VIP suite which is just amaxing, so spacious it even has a pool table! I'm allergic to peanuts, and once we informed them as we booked, for every meal as soon as we arrived someone came to let me know if there was anything I couldn't eat. The breakfast was a lovely and diverse buffet, there was a wide menu for lunch and dinner. Something for even my fussy kids. Long beach gets wider or narrower with the tides,but they also have built a raised beach area and as long beach is one continuous striptheres lots to explore. The water was clean and Our kids loved the pool and spent most of their time there. They were really helpful when we wanted to go to sunworld aqua park, arranging tickets for the cable car, the park and helping us get a taxi each way, enabling us to pay directly with them rather than queue at the station. The free shuttle service to the airport was on time, clean and efficient. All the staff were warm and friendly and had a good to native English ability. I would totally recommend Famiana Resort and Spa if you're coming to Phu Quoc, particularly with a family. You can tell a lot of thought andcarehas gone into the place from the small hydroponic garden for salad to the outdoor children's play area with swings from the tree and a double tricycle.

I work in hotel business too so I can really detect a lot of issue they have. - Airport pick up was smooth but the driver has limited knowledge on their resort service as far as tour or car service - Front desk staff is pleasant, a little overwhelmed sometimes by crowd checking in and a little bit shy - Facilities are great, 2 pools, rooms with balcony, 2 mins walk to the beach - Car service and tours are over priced - BIGGEST DISAPPOINMENT was the attatitude of male short manager/supervisor of the restaurant (young staff attitude was great though). So what happened was we had lunch the first day we came, it was great we decided to come back for dinner. Then me and my sister were kinda hungry around 9. So we figure lets walk to the restaurant see if we can get some snack. They closed at 10. So we was about to come in and this manager guy was about to leave for his shift (kinda weird since manager suppose to leave last), he stopped us apruptly yelling "Hey the kitchen is closed why are you guys here". And we were like what the f. Are you kidding me. Thats how you talk to your guests?. We are both in hotel business and it was just so odd to see that attitude. He could have said "oh i am sorry our kitchen is closing soon for the day, if you would like some drink we can still serve you and he could have show us serveral street snack store that are still open around. So we never come back to that restaurant for lunch and dinner and we stayed there for a week. How much money we could have spent there imagine. Anyway that was my experience And I will not recommend nor come back to this resort. One's attitude can ruin your whole experience obviously

Reviewed By Joey029We just stayed 9 nights in Mercury Beach Resort in an Executive Villa. The Villa is right next to the beach with great sunset views and private pool. Resort is ranked 4* ,but to be honest, i can say that having stayed previously in number of 4 and 5 star resorts, Mercury PQ goes easily in my top three beach resorts in Asia. Location: it is conveniently located right outside busy area but you can easily get to action by cheap taxis or by renting a scooter which we did. Area: well kept green gardens and clean pools. Beach is sandy and well looked after, no rubbish. Food&beverage: the menu in the main restaurant is wide with good & tasty choises of western, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine. All food is reasonably priced, considering it is a good quality resort. Same goes for the bars. Staff: all extremely helpful, warm and attentive. Nice, easy listening live music most of the nights at the beachfront restaurant. Special thanks goes to always similing Trinh who is a gem what comes to customer service + Mr Sean Maher (guest relations) is the man of the resort who is more than eager to fulfill and help what ever you may have in mind. Also the new GM, Mr Risto is a great, experinced guy who has a valuable team of staff that he can be proud of. I can recommend this resort 100% without hesitation. Go for it !!! Reviewed By 637thuhanThat’s the most amazing services I’ve ever been experienced. I have been working in hospitality for more than 10 years and it’s hard to please me as a customer. There’s receptionist named Quynh. She took care of us as family member. When I asked for a chewing gum which not be served at the hotel, she was out immediately and bought me one as a gift. Those small little things was a lot throughout our stay. And that touched me. Thank you, Quynh and I will be back.

All Good Save the Construction Din
Reviewed By Mike NThis a well-priced resort next to the beach not far from the airport. Easy cab into Duong Dang and doesn't make you feel isolated at the resort. Lovely beach (when the plastic is cleaned up) and great staff. The ancient suite is atmospheric. Would have been 4 stars except for the construction din and hammering next store - at one point, a cement pour lasted all the way up to 1 AM and you felt as if the pour were happening over your own head.

There is a large pool and a small garden I traveled in September so the price is very cheap, including breakfast The staffs are enthusiastic, funny and good cooking. They provide free washing machines and sharing kitchen However, there are mosquitoes in the garden
