Noisy hotel

Reviewed By mercibonbon

We stayed for two nights. Our room is at the end of the corridor, facing a main road. We heard police car/ fire engine siren several times during the night. Also, it was a rainy night, and we could hear the dripping sound of raindrops through the wall. Hardly sleep at all as I am a light sleeper. Our room had an outdoor onsen in the balcony. It would be much better if there are clear instructions on how to use the onsen as there is a panel with only Japanese words on it. The hotel did provide a very simple manual in English but it did not explain well enough. The breakfast provided at the hotel was the traditional Japanese style. The food was delicious and the portion was quite big. It came with my hotel package, and I think the hotel is expensive and not worth the price.

Very quiet, gracious hotel. The food is superb and each room looks out over the Pacific. The meals were stupendous with a bunch of raw fish as well as food you cooked in your little individual pot. Great for a couple of days. It's not near anything, so you need cab or vehicle. High on a hill.

Extremely bad experience

Reviewed By evelynkmlaw

This is the worse hotel I have ever stayed in Japan. I didn’t mention whether I understand Japanese, but I heard the staff at the front desk talking bad about me and my family in whisper, which was extremely disappointed. A female staff helped us to bring one suitcase to the room, but her face tells us that she’s annoyed (I think it is normal to bring suitcases when travelling to other countries). We have stayed in many hotels in Japan where the staffs cannot speak English, but communication is not only about speaking. If the hotel is not going to welcome non-Japanese speaking guests, please state it clearly and don’t even make an English homepage. We would never stay at this hotel again, but the food at the bakery and the Japanese restaurant “Kasaan” were amazing. The staff were also friendly and polite.

Group service was excellent

Reviewed By Tmclain5

As American tourists, we were looking for a traditional Japanese experience and this motel provided us with what we were looking for. Small rooms with futons that were picked up in the morning. Beautiful ocean view from our balcony. Community bath was clean and not crowded. We had a group of nine and wanted a private dinner in traditional Japanese style---They provided excellent food and service. If you're looking for a Western style motel and food--this isn't for you. If you would like a true Japanese experience, this hotel can provide it.

It is an old story. A hurt deer soaked in this hot water and healed a wound. It is said that this is the beginning of this hot spring. The wound of the heart of all of you may heal this hot spring, too. Here is delicious Japanese food and a hot spring, a smile of the tender staff. Come by all means!

Great location, friendly hotel

Reviewed By P T

This hotel is right in the centre of town which makes it easy to get around to the sights worth seeing. The indoor / outdoor onsen was huge with a nice view but it's open to the public - can get crowded. I particularly enjoyed the dinner and breakfast buffet which had a good spread of Japanese food. Good food and comfortable hotspring...what more can one ask for.
