You must have an up-to-date Yellow Fever Vaccination and bring your "Yellow" shot record proving this or you will be turned away. First and foremost this fabulous organization is there to protect and expand the health and population these rare animals. The visits they provide adds friends, contributions and helps educate the public about their conservation. All to the benefit of the animals. I would only recommend this to people who are interested in these rare primates and their conservation. It is a drive from Rio de Janerio, there is walking involved and a need to treat the tamarins with quiet respect. That all said my encounter was a magical experience.
