It was great, unique experience. They really know a lot about shells and the ticket includes interesting lectures about the museum. Our seven years old son has constantly asked questions and he’s got answer to each one of them. We have learn a lot. We recommend!

First collection is about First World war and consists of exhibits which originate mostly from the territory of Isonzo Front and are the fruits of many years' collecting. The second one is about animals and hunting. In our museum you can also buy autentic souvenirs from Slovenia.

Mediadom Pyrhani

When planning your visit to Piran, you are invited to all the experiences offered by the Mediadom Pyrhani. It is a newly opened cultural centre and a multimedia museum in which the latest technology introduces the history and cultural development of the town. Also the future connects many paths leading to Piran to meet in the Mediadom Pyrhani, where you are invited to take a ride on our time machine taking you through 20 centuries, from the antique times to today’s Piran. In the all-purpose hall, suitable not only for lectures, but also for film shows or concerts, there is room for 50 visitors, who are by the help of modern technology capable of experiencing highly educational and cultural contents.

Vulkanija Adventure Park

Goricko castle happens to sit on the site of the last volcanic eruption in Slovenia. This area is now home to an adventure and educational park. Facilities have recently been renovated and expanded, with even more activities to participate in, such as volcanic games, 3D films with special effects and a geological museum. Great fun for the whole family, as well as individuals and school groups.

Museum is in house, so it`s great to visit also, when outside is raining. It`s great experience for all family with children age +2. Pay attention if you are pregnant, then you are not alowed to go on some attractions during visit. You still can cooperate and see everything, which is good.

The House of Minerals

The House of Minerals which is operating under the auspice of the Velenje Museum, exhibits over 2,000 samples of minerals collected from all over the world. In addition to the exhibition of minerals, a number of workshops for pre-school and school children as well as other groups are organised in the House of Minerals.

Stroll beneath the treetops of the horse chestnut tree-lined avenue surrounding the park. It leads to Plečnik's masterpieces and the burial ground of hostages in the park. On the ground floor in the northwest part of the building there were prisons during the occupation, which in 1961 was converted into the Museum of Hostages.

Gril's Homestead

The entire property is a cultural monument of local significance. The cottage which also has an open fire kitchen and an outbuilding is surrounded by a meadow, kitchen and herb garden, an apiary, a vineyard and an orchard. It is believed that the cottage was constructed in the mid 19th century as a small vinedresser's house on a viniferous slope of Lipnje and Vinska Gora.
