Awesome hospitality
Reviewed By Michael HTotally exceeded expectations. Friendliest hosts, well maintained, and superb food. Incredible value for money considering the establishment is in the Michelin guide. Traditional breakfast and dinner included, which was superb. When we left a bag behind, owner drove with the bag until he caught up to us. Could not recommend more highly.

Reviewed By mkantFree pick-up from station, almost impossible to find on your own, but great place. Traditional tatami rooms, simple but elegant & comfortable. Deep in Nara countryside, near Muro-ji. Stayed 4 nights, the (requested) vegetarian breakfast got better & better each day! Owner's son speaks fair english and is more than helpful. I loved it here, would go back in a heart-beat.

Secret recommendation for staying in Nara!
Reviewed By Kayman2506Wonderful family operated hotel a little outside of central Nara. The rooms are gorgeous and the English speaking staff is really helpful. At other reviews already said it's about 20 min from JR Nara Station. Busses are convenient and the place is a definitive recommendation for everyone who prefers staying in a nice and affordable place over some crowded overpriced tourist hotspot hotels in central Nara. We loved it there, ありがとうございました！

思いの外スタイリッシュでした。
Reviewed By mariet542ホームページで拝見し、古民家をリノベーションしたとのことだったので最低限の設備を想定していましたが、内装もこだわり尽くされていてアメニティーなども充実きていたので、普通のホテルよりもよっぽど設備が整っていました。物凄く険しい道の先にあるので到着まで若干不安になりますが笑 扉を開けて木の匂いが広がる瞬間は印象にのこっています。

Best stay
Reviewed By 86STEVAfter having spent much time in hostels a ryokan was much welcomed. Quite & comfortable stay. The room was spacious for 2. The ryokan has an onsen on the rooftop that can be used privately which is great for people who are shy. There are 3 different ones whit varying temperature. all I say is good luck. Now the only issue is the toilet for men... old japanese style... that's all I'm saying. The view in the morning was beautiful and definitely put a smile on our faces. Waking up to see the lake & mountains was amazing. The dinner and breakfast was delicious. They served us a Traditional Breakfast. Which made us happy. Staying at a Ryokan was definitely a goal of ours so thanks again to Hanako & Kiwako and their agency.

Reviewed By mirokushirousagi大神神社のそばに泊まりたくて探したお宿でした。とてもシンプルで私好み。お宿はとても清潔で、お部屋もこぢんまりした和室。テレビは無しの方が好みなので、文机があれば充分♪しかもお風呂は檜風で、これまた清潔！女将さんはとても優しくて、明るくて、温かいです。看板猫の菜奈ちゃんも可愛いし…。ちなみに、私は１階の大神神社の神様のお札が祀ってあるお部屋でした。人のしゃべり声は聞こえまますが、私は平気。神様に守られている感があって、私は朝までぐっすり。とても良く眠れました。また、宿泊されているお客様のレベルが高くて…！共有スペースでの女将さんと宿泊の皆様とのウィットに富んだ知的なおしゃべりの楽しかったこと！その場に居ておしゃべりを聴いているだけでも心地良くて、癒やされました。とても貴重な経験をさせていただいて本当にありがたかったです。 大神神社早朝参拝と、夕食に近くの焼き鳥やさんは女将さんのオススメです。私もオススメ♪一般に出回らないお酒や美味しい三輪素麺がいただけます。

民宿脇本素晴らしい
Reviewed By takao0520ふるさと納税で返礼品として、民宿脇本に宿泊しました。 築250年の母屋と調度品はとにかく一見の価値あり。 離れのお部屋も大変きれいで、母屋で頂戴した夜ご飯や朝御飯も、食材がよくて、女将さんが調理師免許を持っておられるだけあり、最高でした。

Reviewed By nugetzThe hosts were welcoming and friendly even when I don't speak Japanese. I arrived late as I got a little lost coming down from Miura toge and the host was waiting outside looking out for me. The room was clean and futon was warm. The dining area had kotatsu too. Food was nice and adequate and shower room had hot bath ready for my use. The weather forecast for the next morning was rainy and I was apprehensive about hiking the Obako toge in wet weather. The hosts offered to send me to Omata, my next accomodation via their car. The one way journey took 2hrs. I am so grateful to them for their kindness and hospitality.
