Reviewed By OregonriversRyoso Kawaguchi is a wonderful traditional ryokan with amazingly friendly hosts and staff. We walked from the ferry both ways because the weather was nice and it was only a 10-minute walk, but the hosts provided their phone number to call for being picked up. Yoko Kawaguchi and her husband greeted us warmly, showed us our room, the dining room, and the private bath. The room was traditional, spacious, well equipped, and had a small balcony with a table and chairs overlooking a beautiful small garden. We signed up for the dinners and breakfasts with our reservation and were delighted with the delicious and varied meals, beautiful garden off the dining room, and helpful and friendly server, Kiyoki Kuroda. The dinners and breakfasts were as good or better than any meals we had in our 10-day trip to Kyushu and Miyajima, and we ate at several high end restaurants in Fukuoka. Kiyoki became our impish friend, making each meal both fun and delicious. He provided assistance and humor but never intruded on our privacy. Yoko was clearly in charge at all times, making sure our needs were met and providing friendly and helpful advice about things to do on the island. She scheduled our meals and private time in the Japanese bath. At the end of the day, the soak in the warm bath guaranteed a good night's sleep. We only stayed two nights and regretted not having longer to spend in Miyajima with our hosts when we left. We enthusiastically recommend this beautiful ryokan to anyone visiting Miyajima.

Very quiet and a great location
Reviewed By rf1032017My friend and I were staying here last summer. The rooms are very comfortable with the traditional japanese floor futon and comforters. They also have AC in the room as well as TVs and a fridge. The restrooms are not connected to the room but they are kept very clean and the shower is downstairs. The staff is friendly and helpful and even allowed us to check in early because my friend was not feeling well. We were able to walk to downtown Hiroshima as well as the museum from the hotel. It's in a great area that is safe and quiet. Honestly a great stay.

呉から安芸灘大橋を渡って、長期滞在型の民宿です。。。
Reviewed By Culture808688安芸灘大橋の通行は有料（７２０円）、小さな漁港内にあります。駐車場は、JA横の広場に駐車する。当該民宿は、長期滞在、自炊設備完備の民宿です。宿の主人が島の説明と、夕食をする料理店の連絡をしてくれ、とても親切です。大橋の通行料も、この周辺の島で、買い物、食事すれば、既通行券と引き換えに、無料通行券がもらえます。部屋以外、大広間もあり、TV,大机、ドリンク等が使用でき、便利な娯楽部屋という感じです。本日の宿泊者は、小生と、バックパッカー？のドイツ人夫婦？だけで、疲れていたので、ドイツ人には挨拶のみで、話はしませんでした。ここは、釣りをやる方には、とてもいい宿だと思います。次回、女房殿も連れてきて、釣り竿を持ってくるか。

Lovely place to stay
Reviewed By P_Aldrich2013We stayed here two nights. It only has 4 rooms. We found ours quite spacious and could leave the futons out during the day. There was a cedar bath which felt quite luxurious. The hosts were very friendly and the evening meal was amazing and all beautifully presented. We were very happy that we had the option of a western or Japanese breakfast. We chose the western version which was very nice. When we asked about booking a taxi back to the port our hosts insisted on driving us down there themselves, which was a really nice touch.

天然物の魚がおいしい
Reviewed By あよきょまま瀬戸内海で採れた天然のタイや穴子など食べきれない程のごちそうと、ご主人のお話がとてもおもしろくて ついついお酒もすすんでしまいました。船宿なのでトイレもお風呂も共同ですが、すいていて、とてもゆっくりできました。御手洗の古い町並みや、山の上の公園からの景色もすばらしく、また行って見たいです。

Reviewed By yoshiee19尾道の前に立ち寄った鞆の浦。歴史ある港町の景観を代表するような、歴史ある日本家屋をリニューアルした素敵な宿です。宮崎駿氏の監修だけあり雰囲気は最高。構いすぎない接客も含め、細部まで気の利いた心地よい空間となっています。朝食の鯛の兜煮は格別の美味しさでした。朝食のみいただきましたが、お昼もここで食べればよかったな（笑）また泊まりたい宿です。

Reviewed By Adventurer594123全て自分たちでやらなければならないけど、部屋も清潔にしてあり、快適に過ごせます。近隣に飲食店はありませんが、スーパーで惣菜なども手に入るので、困ることはありません。のんびり釣りなどをして過ごすに適していると思います。

Reviewed By 浩二 小一泊２食付きで5,500円。旅行者にとっては嬉しい宿です。 古い建物とはいえ、清潔にされています。寝具も気持ちいいいですよ。 食事はこのお値段では考えられないぐらいいいものです。 宿の女将さんの心つがいを感じることができます。 神経質で文句ばっかり言うような人には行って欲しくないです。 そう言う人たちが増えると宿の方が萎縮して、サービスも 画一的になってしまいますから。
