Reviewed By meadylouWe had a wonderful stay at Roo Mansala for our honeymoon. The rooms are beautiful (the photos don’t do them justice), the beds are very comfortable and the view from our balcony over Lion’s Rock and Pidurangala rock is simply stunning. The food is excellent - particularly the egg hoppers that we enjoyed as part of our Sri Lankan breakfast (the best egg hoppers of our whole trip) And the location is incredibly convenient - within walking distance of both rocks and a short tuk tuk ride into the centre of Sigiriya if you fancy heading out for dinner or drinks. The entire Roo Mansala team was incredibly helpful - arranging a fantastic elephant safari for us, and a driver to Polonnaruwa. Thank you for making our stay so perfect!

Reviewed By kenl44We went to Sigiri Lion Lodge to discover the Sigiriya Rock. It was a fantastic place to sleep over. You can reach the gate to get to the Lions Rock by 15min walking. The accommodation is basic but has all you need, a comfy bed and a great and rich breakfast. You can choose on what time you want the breakfast served and it is freshly prepared and very nice. The host is just amazing! Any question you have he is more then happy to answer and support you at your stay or with your further travel! Can really recommend this place.

Reviewed By tompardhyVery clean and comfortable rooms with expansive views. The shower had decent pressure which was a welcome change ? Namadi was a great host and very helpful taking us around the town and helping us get train tickets to Ella as well. Would highly recommend.

Reviewed By sudheera077The location of Hill cottage is great, walking distance to the town. Garden looks great and Siva the caretakers helps us a lot. Highly recommended. However its better if they can arrange the better meals plans to the menu.

Reviewed By AncaCristina2I arrived at this resort following a recommendation from Chan Du, the tuktuk driver. The first impression was positive. Everything in harmony with nature, beautifully arranged bungalow, very spacious and clean, swimming pool with crystal clear water with perfect temperature. Peace and quiet, exactly what we are looking for. The rooms have air conditioning, TV, refrigerator, kettle for coffee, tea. Water is provided by the hotel every day. The restaurant is open every day. You can serve a very rich and varied breakfast as well as lunch or dinner. The food is delicious. It is nice that the waiter goes to the room with the menu and asks you what time the meal is ready. The prices for accommodation and services are very good But what impressed me the most was the availability of the people here, including the owner. They made us feel like we were friends for a lifetime. The owner even transported us by personal car to a tourist spot and on the way he took us to the bus. I recommend this place for the peace offered, cleanliness, attention and availability from the team without invading your space. I will be back with great pleasure. Thanks to Asna Nature Resort for taking care of me and making me feel at home. You are wonderful.

They even arranged a tour for us on the festival day. Very quiet location and gorgeous views of Nuwara Eliya and Adam’s Peak

Secluded retreat
Reviewed By Ruuuth91The location of the hotel is just as stunning as the pictures suggest. You really are in the middle of nowhere surrounded by wildlife, and the infinity pool is fantastic. To get to the hotel you have to take a TukTuk for about 10 mins from the main road. The road itself is a very bumpy dirt track, which meant we didn't feel like leaving for dinner each night as we had originally planned. Luckily the food here (both breakfasts and dinner) is absolutely delicious. Our host was so attentive and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. He arranged TukTuks whenever we needed and we were perfectly positioned to reach Sigiriya. Unfortunately during our stay there were a lot of power cuts in the country and this hotel didn't have a generator, so we were eating by candlelight one night. The only other drawback was the aforementioned wildlife, as we had lizards, a mouse and hundreds of ants in our bathroom. In all fairness the ants were sorted with spray, and this is the jungle after all!

The place is very nice. rooms are big, very clean and also providing very friendly service. even we went at late night the owner lady welcome us very friendly manner. The breakfast was superb. very delicious and also she gave us a fruit juice using home grown Anoda fruit and it was one of the best for me. Room was very clean and pleasant. washroom was also very clean.There was nothing bad to complain.

They have a really nice tuk tuk chauffeur (Ravi) who will take you anywhere for a reasonable price. I would have liked to stay for many more days. The place is clean en spacious.
