An excellent place to stay for anyone visiting Daisen A+
Reviewed By Thaddeus1983My partner and I have stayed at Daisen Backpackers 5 times in the last 2 years, and we absolutely love the place! It’s a clean, comfortable, affordable and very well maintained place to stay while hiking, skiing or snowboarding on Mount Daisen or enjoying some of the other great things that there are to do in the surrounding area – such visiting the Shōji Ueda photography museum or one of the many local onsen. As a fan of both photography and onsen, I can recommend both. The guesthouse is self-catering, but everything you need to make a delicious breakfast is included in the price (milk, coffee, fruit, eggs, delicious local yoghurt, and the best homemade bread I’ve had in years!), and the kitchen is very well equipped. The wifi connection is also strong and reliable. And, if you have a car, there is convenient off-street parking directly in front of the property. What's more, the owners are lovely people and will make you feel at home while giving you the space you need to relax and unwind at the end of a long day on the mountain. If you’re looking for a place to stay in this area, then look no further.

Very warm and friendly guest house
Reviewed By VickyVickyCDue to the typhoon, i stayed here for 3 nights. The owner is so nice and pick me up at the bus terminal. It is just a min drive away from the terminal. And she is so helpful and tried to lend all gears as many as she has. On the following days, she also drove me to different places as all hiking was cancelled. The best place is a bakery in the forest. It was toasty-warm. The bread are so so yummy. For the accommodation, due to non peak season, i was the only guest my stay. The dorm n toilet was clean. As there is no bath, i took it at the onsen 5 mins away. I am so happy that the owner can her very best to explain n introduce much to me esp the management n facilities in national park. Also, i enjoy the meals so much with some Japanese and in a small town. I will come back next time.

砂丘に近いです
Reviewed By dorimamaＧＷの宿泊で4月に砂丘近辺で探していた時に見つけました。丁度トリプルのキャンセルが出たという事で運よく予約できました。夕日と早朝の砂丘に行きたかったので近くで探していましたが結果的にはとても満足しました。 チェックインが8時までという事で6時過ぎにチェックインだけ済ませその後砂丘へと出かけました。夕陽がとても美しく大満足でした。翌日は7時くらいに出かけて砂丘で楽しめました。9時過ぎに砂丘を出たのですが道路はすでに大渋滞で駐車場も満車でした。近くの海鮮丼を楽しみにしていたのですがすでに予約でいっぱいで諦めました。海鮮丼目当ての方は先に予約したほうが良いと思います。 私たちは夕食も外でしたのでお風呂と寝るだけだったので立地重視の方にはお勧めです。設備は国民宿舎の雰囲気です。ＧＷでもコスパ的に大満足でした。

Reviewed By miucocoペンションというのは狭くて天井が低いイメージがありましたが、こちらは吹き抜けのホールに薪ストーブ、囲炉裏まであり、オーベルジュを感じさせてくれます。 なんといっても料理が素晴らしい！既製品は嫌いとおっしゃるオーナーのこだわりですべて手づくりだそうです。地元野菜、東伯牛のステーキ、境港の魚介類をふんだんに使っています。 前菜からボリューム満点。ジャズが流れるダイニングでゆっくり美味しいフランス料理を味あえます。 天気が良ければ自然を感じながらテラスでのこれまたボリューム満点な朝食をいただけます。 ガーデニングにも手をかけているのがわかります。 この値段でこの内容は納得です！

Reviewed By geelongexpatThis is a good hostel/capsule. The room is quiet and the capsule itself is spacious. The bathroom facilities are immaculate and large. Soap, shampoo and towels provided. The cafe downstairs isn’t very social in a hostel common room sense and the “panini” is more like a toasted sandwich. Saying that is very comfortable.

Reviewed By sklfh4641階がパブで2階がゲストハウス。 こういう形式だと1階の騒音が寝室まで届くことがあるのですが、この宿では寝室に飲食店の音が聞こえることはありませんでした。 2階にも談話室がありますが、1階の利用もお酒を持ち込まない限りOKでした。 全体的に設備が新しく綺麗だったのが良かったです。 鳥取駅まで徒歩圏内なのが良いですね。

Reviewed By xlneI stayed in Guesthouse Famusuton for two nights and the dorm price was relatively cheap. Even though I arrived earlier than my check-in time, the affable dad welcomed me into the house and gave me a brief tour of the place. It seems they too have the irksome rule of requiring guests to vacate the premises from 10am to 4pm everyday, although they’re more flexible about it than my previous lodging. We chatted a bit with my broken Japanese after which the dad took the effort to print out the bus station name for my reference upon learning my itinerary for the day. The location is pretty good, within walking distance from the Iwami station with a Family Mart and supermarket close by. There were restaurants in the area too but they were all closed due to Covid19 when I was there. During my stay, I visited the Tottori Sand Dunes as well as Uradome coast, both of which is easily accessible by local bus. I was the only person in the dorm and so had the luxury of the whole room to myself. Probably because the room is big, the heater AC couldn’t keep the whole place warm enough even at full blast, although it’s cosy enough when I’m tucked under the blankets. The thin mattress isn’t comfy to sleep on, so I ended up sleeping in fits and starts. Maybe I could have stacked up a few more extra mattresses but I didn’t wish to overstep any boundaries. The communal facilities and amenities in the house were varied and plentiful, from multiple large wash basins to a convenient kitchenette to bookshelves full of manga. Wifi was ok at first but slowed to a crawl after the first day, so I could not get much work done.

Reviewed By Go803606アーティストのお二人がやっているちょっと不思議なゲストハウス。一見普通の旅館を、少しだけ改造したように見せかけながら、意外と細かい工夫がなされている。（がそれを感じさせないのも、また技の一つ） 朝食などをいただく併設のカフェには地元の方も結構来られていて、そういった方との会話も楽しい。 100人いたら100通のかかわり方があるゲストハウス。そんな場所。

Reviewed By bonvoyage519ドミトリーに一泊だけ泊まりました。 入った瞬間、おぉー✨ってなります笑 その広くてきれいな庭、昔ながらの日本の家屋、綺麗に改装された内装… チェックインの受付の女性がとても素敵な方で、この近辺の観光スポット、名所、この季節ならではの見どころなど、色々と話してくれました。 色々と話してくれるので、こちらからもつい色々と質問してしまい、なかなかチェックインが終わらないくらい話が弾みました? また、チェックインの時に、近所の観光マップをもらうのですが、そのマップ自体がブックカバーとしても使うことが出来るデザインになってます❗️マップも手書き風になっていて、可愛らしくなってます。 車を停める駐車場もあります。だいたい10台くらいは停められると思います。 もしバスで来る場合は、バスの本数がかなり少ないので気をつけた方が良いです。自分も夕方16時台のバスで来ましたが、確かそのバスを逃したら、その日はもうバスは走って無かったような…と言っても過言ではないレベルです? こんな具合に、交通の便こそ悪いですが、でも鳥取は良いところだなぁって思います。 ここに泊まり、鳥取の一部を観光して思ったのは、里山良いな〜ってこと。 来ればきっと分かるはず笑✨ そして鳥取来るなら、ここはオススメです✨

廃校の小学校を宿泊施設にリメイク
Reviewed By HANAKOTO廃校になった小学校を改築して宿泊施設にしたホテルです。 部屋はいくつかのパターンがありますが、私達は2段ベッドが2台あるLOFT4の北欧タイプの部屋に泊まりました。部屋の調度品もこじゃれた感じで、何だか楽しい気持ちになります。元体育館は、ボルダリング、トランポリンや色々球技を夜まで楽しめる空間になっていて、遊び心満載です。 食事は和食でしたが、鳥取県内の蔵元の地酒や鳥取のクラフトビールが揃っているのも良い点でした。ホテルの周辺はとにかく静かで、密も気にせずのんびり出来ました。天気が良ければ綺麗な星空を見ることができると思います。
