Reviewed By dor66The room is decent with big lockers, 2 rooms sharing 2 toilets. There is common bathroom and a communal hot bath, that's my favourite place to go everyday. The dressing area is well thought of n spotless clean. Shampoo, shower gel, conditioner using DHC amenity. Hand gel using Pola. 3mins walk to yuigahama station. 7-11, family mart, lawson all within 6min walk. The common area could have better seating. All seats are v firm n upright. It will be better with some to laze on. All staff are friendly except one trainee, when checking in I leave my occupation blank, he insist I need to fill it in. I told him I'm not working n he give me a roll eye look.... The yoga class is nice too... Overall very happy to stay and highly recommended.

Amazing staff: very helpful and really friendly; always giving tips and interesting talks! The value for money is undebatable! Nice onsen on the premises and japanese style comfortable rooms . Really good offer for dinner (pizzas are amazing); you can also use a small kitchen & a fridge for breakfast/lunch. I would recommend this place with no hesitation: it is the perfect guesthouse.

Singularly Fun Experience
Reviewed By JJoseph54I lived on Kamakura for some years decades ago, and wanted to bring my family back to visit. We chose the Guest House because of reviews and the fact that it could offer us a unique in-country experience we would not get by staying at a hotel. We were not disappointed. As a family of four, we reserved the one private room, which has four large bunks, and were very comfortable there. There are also two large tatami-mat dorm rooms, separated by gender. In addition to two other dorm guests, Ikumi-san (26) and Mariko-san (65), there were four resident managers. We shared a communal, informal meal, drank beer and sake, and had a wonderful time. Jun, a resident, played the shamisen, while Ikumi, a guest, played the koto. It was an amazing concert. We can recommend the Guest House highly.

Cozy hotel run by a real Samurai!
Reviewed By SkioldCozy, comfy little guesthouse run by a super-nice and engaging young man who is a "modern Samurai" - dresses the part, super knowledgable about the area, very socially engaged with helping developmentally disabled kids in the area. I wish I'd had more time to stay and talk with him, he seemed like such a great guy. He'll even make you breakfast! Convenient location (2 min walk to a bus stop and 10 min walk to Kamakura station). It's a small place, I think it only has two rooms. If you want a "hotel" environment then look elsewhere, but if you want a personal, homey experience, I recommend it highly and want to come back.

禅をコンセプトとしたアートなゲストハウス
Reviewed By 3murakami6hiroki11【総評】 良いところだけど、ドミトリールーム以外は2人で利用しないと高いし、割に合わないかなと感じるかも。 【部屋】 宿泊したのは「ZEN」ルーム。 非常にシンプルで簡素な部屋。 照明は全体的に暗めで、天井が吊り下げられた電球が２つあるのみ。 その内１つは球体の中に盆栽が中に入っていて、和モダンを感じさせる。 部屋の色も白と茶色メインで落ち着きを感じさせる。 ドアは障子で、カードキーで開けられるスマートロックが取り付けられている。 敷布団だが折り目のついた敷いたり、畳んだりしやすい布団でクッションも良かった。 机はないのでノートPCや書き物などがある人は不便かも。 【館内全体】 1Fにアートギャラリーが展示されてあり、和(禅)やサーフィン、モダンといったテーマで展示されてる模様。 実際館内全体も和(禅)をコンセプトにシンプルでモダンな感じにしたアートのような印象がある。 ただ確かに和の情緒は溢れているが、幼少期から祖父の古い家に住んでいた自分からすると、非日常感を感じない。 だがかと言って、禅やモダンさを取り入れているから、普通の古民家とは違うので懐かさしさも感じないといった感じ。 後、庭園があるが、小さいけれども雰囲気があって良かった。 庭園の事は詳しくわからないが、しっかり手入れされている印象で、見ていて気持ち良かった。 また館内にはスマートロックを除く、テレビや時計などのデジタルグッズを置いておらず、スタッフの方に確認したところ、自身の外側ではなく、自身の内側と向き合う事をコンセプトにしているとのことだった。 実際、ここのサウナを利用している時などは時間を忘れることができて、良かった！ 【接客】 女性スタッフ1人しかいなかったが、 優しい人柄で親切なご対応して頂いた。 ゲストハウスは今回がほぼ初めての利用なので、わからないけれど良い方なのではないかと思う。 少なくともビジネスホテルの人と比べると、優しく親切な接客をして頂いたと思っている。 【金額】 2人部屋の「ZEN」ルームで金額は税込12,600円。 2人部屋で割り勘にすれば、6,300円とお手頃な価格だが、今回は1人で利用した。 良いところだけれども、やはりゲストハウスなので、これで12,600円だと正直ちょっと割高な感じが否めないかな。 利用したことはないが「ドミトリー」ルームだと1人約5,000円で価格以上のゲストハウスだと思う。

We had a double room that had 2 thin mattresses on traditional tatami matting which was very hard and not very comfortable for sleeping. Was extremely hot when we arrived so would have been nice to have the air conditioning already on but that was not the case - but once that had been running for a while all was good. Host was very friendly and helpful and the common area and shared bathroom were clean and well maintained. Good location just a 5 minute walk form Odawara station for connections to Hakone for day trips and the Shinkansen to Tokyo or Kyoto.

It just has a tucked-in location but a well-worth find. So you won't be lost, here are some guide: Coming up from any of the Blue Line of Yokohama Municipal Subway-- Isezaki-Chojamachi Station (伊勢佐木長者町駅) Exits, you will find the 7-11 convenience store at the corner of the wide Negishi Road (横浜駅根岸道路) and with the stretch of the Odori Park along your right. Please walk towards Lawson Convenience Store and onwards. Walk on for six (6) blocks -- passing playground, Police Headquarters, Fire Station (brick bldg.), Aeon Convenience Store (very friendly and good prices)--until you reach the next Lawson store. That is the Nagashimabashi Intersection. Just turn left passing Century 21, Tiffana--and there with the beautiful blue shade is Hotel Imalle! We stayed in the room with two single beds, and the interiors were just so well-thought and cared for. We appreciate very much that after the long flight and train rides, the room was incredibly comfortable. They provided exquisitely folded bathrobes, and we also liked the beautiful flower-designed bathroom tiles and the wide area between the beds and the tv cabinet. Most of all, the front-desk personnel were so warm and friendly, you would wish you could stay longer. Thank you so much to the staff of Hotel Imalle. I had since always included all of you in our best wishes for your health and the continued success of your hotel.

Le logement est spacieux, petite cuisine pour se faire à manger éventuellement. C’est propre. Douche et toilettes communes sur le palier. Ne prévoyez pas de faire la grasse matinée, le soleil se lève tôt, les voitures aussi ! Comme beaucoup de logements au Japon, l’isolation phonique n’est pas exceptionnel, donc nous entendons bien les voitures (Bouchons d’oreille à disposition à l’accueil). Petit déj inclus et possibilité de se laisser ses bagages, très pratique ! Nous recommandons

Beautiful Japanese/Western Accomodation
Reviewed By donna28958We stayed in the upstairs family apartment. Such a beautiful place to spend a night, clean and well kept. The tatami area with futon beds was a lovely cultural experience. The apartment also has a modern kitchenette and bathroom. The apartment is located on the “main”road but this is a small 2 lane street. We drove ourselves so found the idea of a main road confusing (as they were narrow mountain passes). Follow the YouTube instructions to the paring area for the apartment as there’s no parking on the street. Found having a rental car ideal in this area. Google maps led us right to the door so our pocket wifi from the airport was invaluable. Definitely recommended!
