Independent Black Forest locales dating back to medieval times, in 1971, Titisee and Neustadt (along with Rudenberg) banded together to form Titisee-Neustadt. (A few years later, nearby towns Langenordnach, Schwärzenbach and Waldau also joined the union.) Long known as a spa town, Titisee sits on the banks of the lake of the same name. Legend says the name came from Roman Emperor Titus, who was so taken by its beauty that he named it after himself. The area is great for hiking and winter sports.

Reviewed By Paul HWe have been staying at the Alemannen hof which is very pleasant (and expensive) but the food and service is average. We chose to take the short drive to this place and wow what a difference. Service with a smile and the food was excellent. Can thoroughly recommend. 5•

Reviewed By Trip668969We stayed for 7 nights with two children afed 3.5 and 6. We did enjoyed our stay. Advantages: 1.great location 2.large rooms 3. Very clean 4. Friendly staff 5. Privides the red card Disadvantages: 1. There is no minirefrigerator inside the room. It was very problematic for us since we couldnt store even cheese we baught un the supermarket. We had to buy products every single day. 2. There is no kettle in the room,so you cannot make tea or coffe. 3. The walla are very thin.You csn hear everyvthing from the hall or the next room 4.the pillows are extremely uncomfortable

This without a doubt, is the BEST Personnel staff I have ever come across in all my travels in hundreds of hotels around the world. The restaurant and bar are amazing, the breakfast is incredible and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The reception staff did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. Thank you to the entire staff at Waldeck Park Hotel Titisee!

Our family friendly guesthouse is a perfect base from which to explore the stunning Black Forest. Only 2 minutes walk from Lake Titisee and within easy driving distance from the Wutachschlucht, Baden Baden, Freiburg, Triberg, Stuttgart, Europa Park, Donaueschingen, Rhine Falls and more. Owners have made responsible adjustments because of the COVID-19 pandemic, adding a sense of safety to our stay. We stayed in a three person room with our toddler. Parking is included. I would stay here again. Strongly recommended.

Reviewed By 64nancylNestled next to a rail station, the hotel is decorated very sparsely — zero carpeting which means less acoustic blockage during the night so you’ll hear footsteps and doors being shut down the hallways. Each room, I believe, has a pink neon light of the bird logo. The hallways smelt a bit of stinky garbage. If you like IKEA and the minimalistic look, you’ll probably like this hotel. It just wasn’t for us. Bathrooms were very very clean though and the rooms had good automatic blackout shades, which work by a click of a switch. Each room is provided with a tablet (similar to an iPad) but we didn’t use it. We also ate at the hotel restaurant. Strongly, desperately recommend this hotel provide English menus as everything was in German. The person behind the hotel lobby desk spoke good English and at least one waiter at the restaurant did, too. Within walking distance of Lake Titisee and souvenir shops.

The room exceeded my expectations, it was very large with a sitting area, comfortable beds and a superb bathroom. The meal in the restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast the following morning was generous with a very good selection of different foods on offer. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We didn't spend much time in the town, but it looked very picturesque and pretty. I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel and its restaurant!

Beautiful apartment, friendly host, very close to town
Reviewed By Saurabh9960We stayed here in May 2019 for a weekend. Nice and clean rooms. A bit small for longer stay, but just perfect for 1-2 days..Wonderful host. Breakfast is included. The host took care of our vegetarian limitations..Also a local bus and train ticket is included for the no. of days u are staying. We also got bicycles to ride around at no extra cost.
