Wonderful stay

The hotel &location was wonderful.the view of the snow covered mountains was superb , far more than we expected. The hotel,s location was right opposite a bus stop . Easily reach Salzburg in 10-12 mins straight through. The hotel was very picturesque. The staff could not do enough for us….my wife has spinal problems and they moved us from a room with a bath to a room with a shower without hesitation . Also they got us a second chair for the room so she could sit rather than lay on the bed…nice touch …..we had a deluxe double room with a balcony which was plenty big enough. The breakfast was superb , cold buffet & hot food available.we didn’t,t use the wellness facilities so cannot comment on them. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay out of town . The airport is only 10 minutes away - €13 by taxi. ….we will be back, already planning for the summer.

Reviewed By vzhura261186I always stay in Imlauer in Salzburg! Far from central station and not far from festival halls. Reasonable prises and good service. Restaurant and railways don't disturb me. Probably, breackfast is not best quality. But you can go to other cafe and enjoy austrian pastry and coffe.

Reviewed By Cara DI loved this hotel and now I love it even more, after I read in a review it is a family owned business. My experience started before I arrived with a few emails and requests. All were honoured with promptness. I then arrived late at night and was I promptly brought to my room by a kind women who explained all the little bits of the room. I booked a double room. I wanted a larger room, but I wanted a balcony and it was completely worth it. The view! I will post here. The staff were so friendly and always smiling. Really going out of their way. On my second day, I noticed an item that was not replaced in my room ( not a huge item.. it was a diet coke.) I asked a women cleaning another room for the item. I explained it was not urgent and I could even get the item myself. Suddenly, she immediately ran down the hall to obtain the item. I felt badly and called after her, but she was already on the search for one. She was so kind and it was the theme in the hotel. Always greeted with smiles. The free water and other non-alcohol beverages was a wonderful plus and surprise. The location is amazing. When I return, I will only stay here. The only suggestion would be flatter pillows. I love flat pillows, but this is a personal preference. I am also certain, if I asked for different pillows this would have been honoured, but I did not want to bother anyone with such a request.... I mean, someone already running to get me a diet coke. Look no further, this hotel is wonderful!!!!

Stay here only if desperate
Reviewed By joeh948Loud construction noise began at 6:20am. Gaslighting by the reception about the noise started shortly thereafter. Reception / front desk said that there is nothing that could be done, "we'll decide what the right thing is". Also, stairs throughout maze-like old/new building setup makes this hotel unusable by elderly / less mobile people. Standard room setup required that one shimmy hugging the wall to get around the room. Website is very bad, directing customers to send an email, then the email response redirects folks back to the website. I recommend only staying here if desperate.

Only a few steps away from the cathedral and within walking distance to the festival halls, museums an galeries in town. Beautiful rooms and suites and great breakfast. First class Restaurant on sight. Public garage only 5 minutes away.

The lovely lady who greets you is just charming, kind and instantly makes you feel like you are staying with a friend. Our room was beautifully designed without being cold or sterile feeling as can sometimes be the case - it was spacious yet cosy, spotlessly clean, and with a wonderful bed. Dinner that evening was super - the food was perfect, the atmosphere charming, the staff again so professional and so sweet. And to top of our stay, breakfast today was again a delight. Our incredible house mother joined by a wonderful waitress who continued the theme of a hotel staffed by people with warmth and character. The food was delicious. This is an absolute gem of a hotel - made extra special by the wonderful team who work here. We will be back for sure!

Very good/excellent hotel
Reviewed By GoodGuest2Stayed in this hotel in May. The staff were very pleasant the hotel was very clean. The fittings and furniture were of good quality and the decoration looked fresh. Our bed was very big and comfortable and the room was very quite at night - even during a storm (probably because of the triple glazing on the window). Our room (a Queen) was pretty spacious with a small sitting area and a dressing area. We felt the hotel was very conveniently situated and easy to find and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
