Worst hotel management
Reviewed By uikuikHotel didnt care about hotel guests. Stayed for 2 nights - first night there was a group of schoolies which kept ringing door bell at 1am in the morning but Hotel management didnt care. Next morning when trying to get out of hotel carpark, there were 7 buses parked in carpark and blocked our car from leaving. When asked the hotel management to just asked the bus to move to let us out, we were told the group of schoolies were checking out and we were told to wait. Half and hour later we took matter on to our hand and asked the bus driver to shift to let us out. Second night there was a party which had band singing until past midnight. When I called Duty Manager, his response was he would check with the event manager but never called back. Clearly the hotel management could not control the event and let other guests be affected by big group. Avoid if you were family with kids especially during weekend.

Worth to stay at Khas Parapat.
Reviewed By rininasIt used to called Grand Inna Parapat. I don’t know since when it change to Khas Parapat because I haven’t been there such a long time ago. It’s by Danau Toba Lake. We just go out from our room and that’s it. We can see and play by Danau Toba lake. We stayed at Family Room and it can be 5 people in it with one extra bed. And still it’s quite more space for us. And the price including breakfast and lunch. The restaurant is nice with delicious food. We ordered Nasi Goreng seafood and the kids ordered burger. The scenery is so beautiful from our room especially when we can see a rainbow after the rain. The kids enjoy playing at the lake. But unfortunately, the people is so dirty at the restaurant for lunch. They just throw anything under the table. But for all, we satisfied stay there.

Our hotel is strategically located near Parapat city, near the water cruise harbour, "Tiga Raja", near the ferry harbour "Ajibata", and near the Local food and market Center in "Tiga Raja" and "Parapat". They are within 1-15 minutes of walking
Wouldn't go back
Reviewed By therealchrisgrayVery disappointing. All we wanted was clean and basic accommodation for one night, but this was damp and grubby with no protection against mosquitos. The other guests were families who cooked in their rooms and left their rubbish piled up outside. We were woken from a pretty poor night's sleep not only by the muslim call to prayer, which happens everywhere in Indonesia, but also by the Christian community immediately afterwards. As far as I can tell their entire service was conducted via bullhorn, completely ruining what little peace remains in this over-built spot. Oh, and it's not within easy walking distance of Tigaraja. I enjoy a good walk, if I can get away from traffic, but this was a nightmare for me and much too far for my more normal companions.

Room smelly
Reviewed By FennyWijayaRoom is very pricy, room's condition smells bad moreover the toilet smells cockroaches. When i move the rubbish bin in toilet, the floor is not clean. The stairs are very long, not suitable when you bring old people. View from second floor not too bad, if you wanna see nice view must go to third floor. Breakfast looks bad and already cold. Staff in omellete very dirty.

Really great stay with lovely owners
Reviewed By isobelaliceroseMe and 4 others rocked up here with no reservation ( we weren’t supposed to be staying in Parapat) .. after looking at various accommodation found Melissa Homestay and it was very affordable so we decided to stay here. Joe the son of Melissa was super friendly and gave us 3 double rooms, 2 of them facing forward onto the balcony with windows and one further back away from main road. The homestay has a balcony and a beautiful roof terrace to hang out on, and they also do a food menu which is ideal for when you need quick food without venturing too far. Joe helped us book our bus to Bukkitingi (he got us the best price and arranged it for us) as well as a taxi to the bus stop (Melissa ran out into the street to stop a taxi van for us in the rain!!) ..and then he came to say goodbye and check we were at the right place before we got on the bus. It was a great little find at the last minute with such nice hospitality, and is close to the port to get to the island over the lake. I would recommend this place for any budget backpackers in Sumatra!!

Excellent staff service but poor maintenance.
Reviewed By CMSoonWe stayed for 2 nights and arrived late from Kualanamu airport visiting all along the way. Location is about 20 minutes drive to Parapet town. Takes about 3.45 hours drive from Kualanamu airport if you take toll road to Permatang Siantar route. The hotel is aged and poorly maintained. We book 3 rooms and is reasonably clean and spacious but has lots of cockroaches running around. Electrical plug points not working, water shower is clogged with low water pressure, no hair dryer in room. The restaurant table cloths are stained and dirty. Restaurant service is poor, Food replenishment is slow when there is a big crowd which there was one morning having a group retreat. Food variety is limited. However the very good point is the hotel staffs are very helpful and fast to attend when complaint to them. l had a flat tyre the next morning and the staff was quick to call a mechanic for me to fix the punctured tyre. Special thanks to Hardi who had gone out of the way to help me on this. The back side of the hotel is the Toba lake which has a reasonable view of the lake though not really spectacular. There are better hotels at parapet town with good view. Not so recommended for family with children due to the cockroaches and the not so hygienic restaurant which the management has to improve.

Reviewed By schyecWent for a 4day3night holiday. Stayed at a lovely cottage for our first 2nights at Samosir. Thinking it'd be convenient to go to the airport for our homeward bound on the last day, we decided to stay at Atsari Hotel, Parapat, the night before. Never would I knew, the irritatingly discomfort of itchiness and rashes would occur. Stayed at this hotel at the recommendation of our guide. The hotel was a total contrast of what we'd expect of a 2 to 3 star hotel and some of the good reviews we have read. I was very certain I got those rashes with an unbearable itch from the bed. And not forgetting the unpleasantness of being told the hotel has run out of hair shampoo. I'd not recommend this hotel to anyone who wish to stay at Parapat as there are other options we can pick from.

Old and bad service
Reviewed By tanpopokThe room is old and doesnt meet the standard for dimension (power outlet and switch are far from the bed). The reception kept my identity card during our stay. As we left, they forgot to give back my identity card and I have to go back from Balige to Parapat (spend more money in transportation).

Hotel murah tapi strategis

Yang saya alami adalah menginap di family room, air kamar mandinya menyebar masuk ke kamar tidur, sehingga licin. Pintu kamar mandi juga rusak. Hotel ini masih perlu banyak renovasi sana sini agar nyaman tinggal disitu.
