Great Hotel
Reviewed By Moggym111Stayed here with a group of car enthusiast friends when we visited Hockenheim. Hotel staff were lovely and looked after us so well, especially Amanda & Mario. Rooms were clean, well decorated and we loved our balconies overlooking the valley. Dinner & breakfast were included in our package and we were not disappointed. Soup, a choice of veggie or meat and a pudding were available and all were good. Especially loved the schnitzel. Continental breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice. Beware the eggs are soft boiled so not a great idea to take any for elevenses! Great value for money and would definitely go back again. Beware hay fever sufferers. Forested surroundings meant lots of pollen. Lots of stairs so you will burn off the calories from the great food.

Reviewed By Skyenomore1314Myself and two adult sons stayed for 2 nights to attend the F1 Grand Prix at Hockenheim as it was an easy drive to the circuit and far enough away from the closer but busier locations. Proved to be an excellent choice. First class small hotel with a warm and friendly welcome that made you feel at ease and at home straightaway. Nice large room comfortably accommodated the three of us, spotlessly clean with an excellent walk-in shower and a balcony overlooking the picturesque valley. The main standout is the quality of the food and service - truly excellent dinner and breakfast. Was so good that we abandoned plans to eat in Heidelberg on the Sunday evening and came back to eat at the hotel instead - another excellent choice :o) Highly recommended and will be our first choice for a return visit to the region.

Reviewed By ChowbinsI have stayed at this small and friendly hotel on many occasions and have found it to be quite basic but very clean and adequate for a short stay! The breakfast choice is limited but enough to start the day! The restaurant serves excellent typically German food and is well worth trying even if you are not staying at the hotel. All the food is regional as well as seasonal, the asparagus menu in the spring and wild mushroom specials in the autumn are well worth sampling.

Reviewed By JANICE BWe found some of the decor a bit quirky but there were some lovely features like stained glass in the breakfast room/bar windows. The room we occupied aspired to be romantic. It seemed to be a theme in the hotels in the town. The room was a good size (note no tea/coffee making facilities) and the bathroom was pristine if a little small. It's a little off the beaten track but it has lovely views.

Reviewed By Oli TRichtig gutes hostel mit super sympathischen & hilfsbereiten Besitzern. Alles was das Herz begehrt (voll ausgestattete Küche, großzügige sanitär Anlagen, Garage für Fahrräder, etc.). Absolut empfehlenswert - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Reviewed By herckelrath1Mal wieder für 3 Nächte hiergewesen. Der ideale Ort zum relaxen. Hier fühlt man sich wohl! Bodenständiges Essen, bodenständige Menschen. Gutes Frühstück, guter Kaffee, überdachte Terrasse vorhanden, Herrlicher Panoramaweg quasi vor der Haustür.

Charme der 70er, sehr sauber und gemütlich
Reviewed By Wastl50Wir haben mit einer Gruppe ein Wanderwochenende im Odenwald verbracht und der Aufenthalt im Waldgasthof Reußenkreuz hat allen sehr gut gefallen. Das Gästehause steht etwas abseits vom Gasthof, ruhig am Waldrand gelegen, Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind nicht neu, aber sauber und großzügig, alle Zimmer hatten eine separate Sitzecke. Die Bäder sind klein, Dusche etwas eng, ansonsten in Ordnung. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend, der Service sehr freundlich. Preis / Leistung stimmen. Am Reußenkreuz führen einige schöne Wanderwege vorbei, der Panoramaweg ist zu empfehlen. Leider gibt es abseits vom Waldgasthof in der Umgebung wenig Einkehrmöglichkeit, Verpflegung muss aus dem Rucksack kommen. Im Waldgasthof wird regionale Küche geboten, uns hat es dort sehr geschmeckt. Wie besuchen den Waldgasthof Reußenkreuz gerne wieder.

In Ruhe entspannen
Reviewed By BuererkerlEine mittelgroße Pension in angenehmer Atmosphäre. Obwohl außer uns nur ein weiteres Pärchen im Haus zu Gast war, konnte man sich auf einen guten Service verlassen. Das Essen war immer sehr gut. Die Zimmer waren ausrüstungstechnisch nicht auf dem neuesten Stand, aber Bett, TV und W-LAN waren vorhanden und der fehlende Handyempfang im Ort war nach kurzer Zeit eher angenehm als störend. Dazu kam eine nette Nachbarschaft, mit der man bei Spaziergängen leicht ins Gespräch kam. Im Haus befindet sich noch eine kleine Metzgerei mit eigener Schlachtung. Zum gemütlichen Erholungsurlaub ist die Pension absolut geeignet.
