Nick the owner was wonderful and clearly makes time to get to know all his guests and was truly fascinating to talk to and by the end of our few nights stay felt we were greeting him as a friend each time. All the staff were so genuinely kind, friendly and will do anything they can to help you. Umesh in particular took time to show us round and was on hand if we needed anything - so kind, polite and helpful. The food, juices, cocktails were all excellent and the decor of the hotel is beautiful. Breakfast was outstanding - the full Sri Lankan breakfast was excellent. The pool was gorgeous and on a few occasions we were presented with a freshly cut coconut to drink from or a freshly prepared banana smoothie - completely unprompted. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we were greeted warmly wherever we went. We would absolutely return the next time we visit Sri Lanka and felt extremely welcome. Thank you Nick and the team for taking such great care of us on our honeymoon and making us feel truly special, we will never forget it. Kristina & Shanta x

A small cocoon with only 6 rooms, feet in the sand with an incredible infinity pool... Just reading this sentence makes you feel relaxed. This is what awaits you at Lanka Beach Bungalows! On the whole southern coast of Sri Lanka, the prices of hotels can climb very quickly. Indeed, it is very difficult to find an affordable hotel, especially in Tangalle where the beaches are huge and crowded with tourists. Well, at the Lanka Beach Bungalows, you will get 75€ a night, including a delicious breakfast. The hotel is also a restaurant and offers quality food at lunch and dinner, at reasonable prices. The best value for money in the area! Moreover, by staying here, you will have a privileged access to one of the most beautiful beaches of the island - an ideal place to admire the sumptuous spectacle offered by the sunset. We spent 3 days in this little paradise and it was clearly not enough. As frequent travelers, we are used to visiting many hotels around the world, and we can assure you that if you plan to spend some days in Tangalle, you can't miss Lanka Beach Bungalows!!!

Wonderful small hotel on the beach, built in February 2013. Only 5 bungalows with direct ocean views, well-kept area with tropical garden. Restaurant, swimming pool, ayurveda and yoga place. Spacious rooms with air conditioning, hot water and fine furnishings. The hotel is surrounded by a deserted beach on one side and fresh water lagoon - on the other. A paradise for lovers of flora and fauna.

Reviewed By Michał OAvoid this place! Most of the good reviews come from previous years. The hotel refused to accommodate us (we had previously paid for the entire stay in advance). I want to add that we were with our 6-year-old son, it was getting dark, and we were left without a hotel. Nobody has ever treated my family and me as disrespectfully as the owner of this place. The owner was undoubtedly the rudest person I have ever met while traveling. Without the help of the website through which we made the reservation, we would never have recovered our money. The owner lied during the complaint process... More similar stories can be found on the internet. Be careful! When making a reservation, you will be asked to make a payment by an external provider, making it difficult or impossible to refund the money in case of any problems.

Turtles View Resort is located in Rekawa, Hambantota District which is 200m away from the Turtles Beach in Rekawa. We have 2 cabana type rooms with bed & breakfast. Others still under construction. Also with restaurant.
Wonderful stay from location to the hosts
Reviewed By charlottedown1997We had a wonderful time at Turtle View. On arrival we received king coconuts cut straight from the tree and a nice greeting from the lovely couple who own the place! Our room was clean, had air con, a mosquito net and a little outside area for sitting. We were very happy with our room for the price that you pay! The hotel is very close to the beach (about a 5 min walk) and it had no one on it! So private, peaceful and had so much wildlife to see! We spotted white headed eagles, turtles swimming in the sea and many hermet crabs! From what I have read in reviews and our experience, you can't swim in the sea because there are either rocks or it is far to dumpy to get out. I did sit in the shallows which was still very nice. Our purpose of our stay here was to see the turtles at Rekawa beach. It was very close and the couple even let us borrow their scooter as you have to get there for 8pm and we got back at about 1am! Was very much worth it though! The food was all delicious and they are quite happy to get what you would like as long as they know in advance. Couple were happy to arrange tuk tuks to Tangalle and did offer to take us to our next location (Hiriketiya) by their car!

Mulkirigala Rock Temple is a 30-minute drive while Yala National Park is a 2-hour drive, Rekawa Village Inn is a 30-minute Drive from Kalamatiya Bird Sanctuary and 15 minutes’ walk from Rekawa Turtle Watch Camp. Colombo International Airport is a 4.5-hour drive away. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 61 km away. 18-minute drive from the center of Tangalle. We speak your language!

Reviewed By rukshans2022Large modern room with super comfy bed. The place is 100 meters to the beach to watch the turtles laying eggs at night which was just amazing. The staff & food were wonderful. There food menu you can find here.

He arranged a lovely boat tour of the lagoon and sorted out a tuk tuk when we left. Great breakfasts on the deck overlooking the lagoon and surrounding jungle.

Doesn’t have basic business knowledge at all. Took an hour to get food. It was a busy night I get it, but worst service I have ever experienced. I am giving the place a 1 star because I couldn’t give it a 0 (zero) star. Don’t spend your money there. Street vendors foods are much tastier. Staff is unprofessional. It just looks good from outside but from inside it's worst than a 3rd graded lodge... Worst Staff And Worst experience. They don't even deserve 1 star! I will NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN, and would NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE.
