Reviewed By prakash5050Tsilaosa is a very nice and beautiful hotel just in the heart of cilaos .. restaurants and shops are located near the hotel .. The staff are very polite , kind and helpful.. always smiling . The rooms are big (deluxe room) with a great view.. heater in the room .. hot shower .. hot jacuzzi available at the hotel .. bottles of water in the room .. will definitely go there again ..

Not a four star hotel
Reviewed By MN2300Hotel Le Cilaos is definitely not a four star hotel – it seems that it is under fairly new management and has been sort of renovated. It really tries but the service and the rooms are just not what you would except of a four star hotel. The hotel was not very busy and the room we got had a really strange layout – long and narrow. There were hardly any lamps in the room, so it was so dark. We tried to move the one lamp around the room, but there were no plugs so that was not an option. The bed was very comfortable. We wanted to have dinner at the hotel and were told the restaurant opened at 7:30 PM. When we came at 7:30 PM, the door was locked and we were not the only guests waiting. We could see they were busy setting up the buffet for the dinner service and they did unlock the door after 7-8 minutes, but it was still a little strange. The food was good though, but the service not the best. All in all it was a bit of a strange place.

We would highly recommend this guest room to anyone who is looking for a charming, authentic and simple room in Cilaos. The breakfast is excellent and made of fresh and local ingredients. The Bois Rouge is also very well located in the village, 5mn walk from the downtown and all facilities. There is a free parking available.

Reviewed By SINDRE EThank you Mr and Mrs Nyala for your hospitality. This was an exillent place to stay when exploring Cialaos and its brilliant mountain surroundings. The breakfast was amazing, as were the convenient lunch packs that were offered when I was doing hikes. And the good suggestions on hikes were key to make my days in Cilaos perfect. The room was good and clean. All in all i would higly recommend this place for anyone visiting Cilaos.

Nice, sparkling clean communal kitchen for preparing breakfast and post-hike dinner (as places in town aren’t usually open before you start hiking at 6 am and there is rain most afternoons/ evenings). Jacuzzi with amazing foot massaging jets in the back. Hot shower and complimentary tea and instant coffee.

Nice small hotel in good location
Reviewed By kirstenogalfredlStayed one night in this small, but clean and friendly hotel. We had a room with balcony and fantastic view to the mountains. We were shown parking opportunities at the hotel and on the neighboring shop, with the same owner. It is walking distance to all places in town. Breakfast is served individually in a small breakfast room. But very nice and complete.

Des Neiges might be a bit dated, e.g. bathroom deserves some more modern stuff, but rooms are large, views on the surrounding mountains are great, and walking distance to all of the village. Comfy bed and decent WiFi. Breakfast buffet was extensive enough; dinner 'buffet' was actually a set menu choice for entree and dessert and only buffet for the main course. With a bit underwhelming choice of fish and meat/poultry and hardly veggies, but the latter is typical Reunion kitchen. Pools looked great, due to the weather we could not use.

Amazing island, lovely house, friendly welcome
Reviewed By Clive BIf you are reading this review then you know that the Reunion Isle is a long way to go and you need a good reason to visit. Trekking around the huge crater at Cilaos is one good reason, staying at this house should be the second. After the stunning trip up from the coast with 400 corners and single lane tunnels you need to relax before making you trekking plans out of the crater which surrounds the community. Gabrielle and William are a lovely young couple who work really hard to make you feel welcome. They offer rooms in a creole style house which is in a small hamlet near Cilaos. The house is simply furnished and spacious. As we were travelling in a group of two couples we had bathroom and toilet sharing rooms. Plenty of room and clean. We decided to take up the evening meal option which was varied and copious with local fresh produce and local drinks. Gabrielle explained all about the food and here cooking was excellent. As we left after three days we felt that we were leaving friends and the stay here certainly ranks as one of the high spots in our holiday. Reunion is special. So is this charming hotel with such amazing hosts.
