Reviewed By Doc_CoqThis is a bog standard hotel, but with a lot of noise in whatever room you choose. On the front side, you get the noise form car park, where taxis and cars come at all hours. On the back side, it is a cobbled street so the slightest car movement and you can forget sleeping. It is clean, confortable beds, and 100 Euros for a room. Breakfast is standard hotel fair but coffee is dreadful, sorry folks.

Reviewed By PaulineLawlessDelighted to find this lovely hotel in Aalst, very close to the train and bus station. Full of old-world charm unlike so many cold sterile hotels today. The proprietor Christophe was very welcoming and helpful. Spacious room, with very comfortable bed and armchairs and everywhere very clean. Lovely garden with seating to enjoy a drink from the honour bar. Great buffet breakfast included. If you like warmth and character, this hotel is for you. Thank you Station House for a lovely stay.

Reviewed By Gordon766Had a wonderful stay a the Royal Astrid. While the building is charmingly old, it has recently been fitted out recently with every modern convenience. There was, for example an air purifier and a Japanese style bidet-toilet in my room and the room overall was spacious and super comfortable. The service was very friendly and thoughtful. To give an example, I was on my way from the self-service bar to the garden with a gin and tonic when a barman who was preparing for a function stopped me and asked if I would like some ice. Location is also great - just a few minutes walk from the main town square. I will definitely be back next time I am in Aalst.

Every morning there's an elaborate breakfast and the lunch and dinner menu is nothing short of a five star restaurant. The bar is well stocked. The staff, and this includes the cleaners, is friendly and very helpful. .

Reviewed By tombaeyensMartine is a wonderful host. We liked the design of the room: brand new, cosy and practical. Plenty of choice for breakfast. The terrasse in the protected square is a real gem. Oasis of tranquillity. We enjoyed it as a couple over the weekend, but I would not hesitate to take it for a business trip as well.

Reviewed By Arie SLocated in a quite street. Parking can be found near by. Entrance floor includes area for dinning and sitting, and a place to sit outside. There are stairs and an elevator for the rooms. The rooms are big , clean and comfortable. Breakfast is plentiful and is served with good taste Special requests we made were fulfilled We also were offered extras for taking to enjoy during the day. And all with a very professional and welcoming manner

Consists of kitchen, living room, bathrooms, bedroom. Comfortable and nice furniture. Cosy small street (closed for public traffic) just in the heart of Aalst. Very nice and very caring onwer. Simply pleasure to stay there.
