Surprisingly close to JR Asakusa-bashi station. On the contrary of what I just said about the location, if you're using a pass that doesn't include JR line, you will have to walk all the way to Metro Akihabara which is like 10-15 mins away. Staff was not very impressive. We arrived in the morning and have to wait in front of the front desk for quite sometimes until someone ask what we need (of course, we want to check-in and left the luggage so we could go and rest somewhere). She then asked for our passport, do something and gave us back the passport and that's it. Not telling us anything, where to put the luggage, or when we should come back for checking in. We manage to find space for luggage storing by ourselves and it was very small, messy and almost full already. They use automatic light system for the whole building which was pretty scary for me when I use the shower. The bathroom was separated into 2 parts; dry and wet. I was showering inside the wet area – suddenly the light went off, then it turned back on when I moved, and after few mins, off again, and I see all of that from a mirror. Only 2 bathroom per floor. One elevator for 10 floors. Charge for every single amenity. Common area suits only 4 people but you also have to share it with people who use the washing machine as well. No cutlery, chopsticks, cups or glasses in the kitchen. Ridiculously, this is the only place where you are allowed to eat your food since they use the 1st floor lounge as a cafe so they don't let you eat any outside food there. Room price doesn't include breakfast, you have to pay extra 700 for breakfast. I shared my dorm with 4 other guests who went to sleep at 10 and then woke up at 4 in the morning to have a party, cook their food with rice cooker (not allowed, of course, for all hostel) right next to my bed and keep the voice loud even after I ask them to lower their voice. I report this to front desk but they refuse to do anything.

最低の気分

Reviewed By SakaguchiYasunori

It was the worst hostel in all. The attitude of the staff is just too much. Especially the staff with beards are the worst. I was surprised that they behaved like thugs, like they wanted us to leave as soon as our stay was over. It was really unpleasant. The long-term guests are also very unpleasant people. There are even people who let food scraps rot in their rooms. Also, there is a hygiene problem. The rooms are dusty and I never saw them vacuuming or cleaning the air conditioners. The beds are not washed, just the sheets are removed. I think they haven't washed the bedding in several years. The rooms and bedding are dusty and make me cough. Toilets are shared. They are cleaned only once in the morning and used by a large number of people. Therefore, the toilets are always dirty. To be more specific, there is often urine on the toilet seat and water from the bidet that has bounced off the buttocks. Also, there is a strange smell due to the proximity of a water purification plant. It looks stylish and clean in the picture, but in reality it is old and dirty. The bar downstairs is also expensive and disgusting.

Most of the staffs can speak english & really helpful. The room & shared bathroom are very clean, have a nice view & close to many popular places like Asakusa Sensoji Temple. There are cafe in front of the hotel & convenient stores nearby or you can have a meal at their cafe. The nearest station is around 5-10 minutes walk. The price is cheap for every hospitality i got here! Here's the view i got from my room on 7F.

Where has the Japanese customer orientation gone?

Reviewed By Leo F

Very disappointed with customer service, very unlike Japan. I tried to cancel a booking immediately after I booked it. I accidentally booked wrong dates cause when I selected dates and, it changed back to today's date, I, unfortunately, didn't double-check and booked, realized and sent an email and called. They were not very helpful and tried to assist or to fix it with booking. Just stated that they are not responsible for the bookings, it's booking.com. Also in October, I booked two nights. We arrived there when there was one of the most dangerous Typhoons threatening Tokyo, so we left earlier. Under no circumstances, they would have offered any refund or reduction in price...
