Great place to stay- one of the best we've had.

Our unit was amazingly clean- one of the nicest cleanest places we've ever stayed. Grounds were lovely too. And really convenient location in Hahei. Great fish and chips at the ice cream shop, and coffee at the little blue penguin pop up- makes all the difference! Hosts were very nice friendly people. gave us some flexibility too after booking which was appreciated. We'd certainly stay again and have already recommended to a friend.

EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATION

Reviewed By Caryl T

We booked for an overnight in Wellington, our three adult sons and us, a couple. We were attending a wedding and just wanted an overnight bed but we got much more than that. Our sons arrived from Auckland early and went to the hostel to drop their bags and out for brunch. They were offered breakfast by the hosts, which was most unexpected and very much appreciated. The rooms and the facilities were extremely clean and well cared for and we were treated like royalty - nothing was too much trouble for them. Our included breakfast the next day was plentiful, with a good variety. We found the Dwellington an amazing place to stay, very reasonable and beyond our expectations.

Funky lovely lo-price

We loved the place, also the culture and what kind of people it brings. The price range is attractive and hard to beat. We came in as a group of 4 and the needs are met. It might be a slight inconvenience carrying the load up but that's only a small heads up.

Attic Backpackers

The Attic is a fresh and vibrant, newly refurbished top floor backpackers situated in the heart of the city centre, on Wellesley Street, just steps from the iconic Auckland Skytower and the hustle and bustle of Queen Street. Sleeping a maximum of 100 guests, we are a smaller inner city hostel than most, offering guests a central location and budget accommodation with a difference. Ride our traditional, 'old school' service lift to the top floor, which opens straight out on to The Attic. Enjoy a tour of our place upon check in, no impersonal pointing to your room and off you go, we want you to feel at home with us. Some of our larger dorms feature dividers so that even our most budget options are still as comfortable as a smaller dorm, attention to detail is important here at The Attic. Our guests comfort is the most important thing for us and we pride ourselves on creating a chilled, helpful and caring hostel environment in Auckland city centre!

Greeted by owner (kiwi) of the guesthouse. Really nice. Obviously very passionate about his property. Can't fault it. 1. Great value for money. Only $99. Beats. Other places for value. 2. Bed soooo comfortable. 3. Full on showers. Not a dribble. 4. Extremely clean. 5. Shared bathroom for us; but right by the rooms. No issues what so ever. 6 great kitchen and lounge. 7. Carpet and overall facilities very clean. Would have given my eye teeth for air conditioning. But that is not a reality. Good fan provided.

Great staff but will stay elsewhere next time

All the staff are excellent. I have stayed here before and normally enjoy it. There are families staying there at the moment who let their very young children run around screaming and yelling unsupervised. I was in Auckland for work so I needed to get a decent sleep.
