We offer our guests free unlimited WiFi and a free breakfast everyday during their stay. Fresh towels are available on demand anytime you like. We have a variety of rooms which include spacious private double's, twins, triples, a family room, 4-bed dorms, a female dorm room and a generous 8-bed dorm. EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATION

We booked for an overnight in Wellington, our three adult sons and us, a couple. We were attending a wedding and just wanted an overnight bed but we got much more than that. Our sons arrived from Auckland early and went to the hostel to drop their bags and out for brunch. They were offered breakfast by the hosts, which was most unexpected and very much appreciated. The rooms and the facilities were extremely clean and well cared for and we were treated like royalty - nothing was too much trouble for them. Our included breakfast the next day was plentiful, with a good variety. We found the Dwellington an amazing place to stay, very reasonable and beyond our expectations.

No one told me about the $100 bond they take when you check in. Too noisy, I could hear everything from the rooms next to mine and above. Had to run water for 8 minutes to get hot water in the shower and even that wasn’t hot enough. Reception hours were “7am-11pm” but I had to wait 15 minutes one morning for someone to turn up (not great when you booked a taxi and lost it because of that). Must say place was really clean, the kitchen was spacious and spotless.

Tekapo tranquility

We loved our 3 night stay at Tailor Made. The animals everywhere around the grounds just made it that much more enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoyed my daily big bunny fix. We had a double room with shared facilities (that we didn’t share as it was so quiet!). The room was basic but cosy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and of a much better quality than I’d expect to find in a backpackers accommodation. Lovely hot showers and a heater in the shower room too. The kitchen was large, tidy and well equipped with plenty of seating areas. We couldn’t fault the cleanliness anywhere - it was done to a high standard. Another thing we really loved was that the signage around the hostel was subtle. There aren’t posters everywhere telling you to clean up and don’t do this or that, just a few small reminders. On that note, it is not the place to come if you want a party - the building isn’t very noise proof so it much better suits the quieter traveller and therefore, was perfect for us. Excellent location to town and all the beautiful walks around. Great work Jovana and Richard.

Bed soooo comfortable. 3. Full on showers. Not a dribble. 4. Extremely clean. 5. Shared bathroom for us; but right by the rooms. No issues what so ever. 6 great kitchen and lounge. 7. Carpet and overall facilities very clean. Would have given my eye teeth for air conditioning. But that is not a reality. Good fan provided.
