Lychakiv Cemetery

An extraordinary collection of Ukrainian, Polish and German graves, including the final resting places of several notable figures including Ivan Franko. A beautiful and calm place to walk and soak up the atmosphere. Stop at the general store opposite the main gate (behind the flower shop) for drinks on your way in.

Prison on Lontskogo, National Museum and Memorial to the Victims of Occupation

Not the easiest place to find but memorable when you do get there. There was a really helpful, informative English speaking guide available when I arrived and she showed us around the prison. She supplied the historical background to give context to the building and the grimness of its history. A must visit place if you have any interest in Ukrainian history.
