Our collection includes a number of exhibits related to the broadly understood material culture. We have collections in the fields of ethnography, art, technology, industry, handicrafts and trade as well as archeology and numismatics. The museum also has a branch of Skansen Lokomotyw in which railway monuments were collected.

Very interesting castle. Unique museum. But tickets at the counter as you climb tower. Great views from the top of the tower.

Regional Museum in Opoczno was established in 1976. It is seated in a castle which was erected in the King Kazimierz Wielki's days in XIV century. The castle had been destroyed several times before it finally gained its present external appearance in 1870s.
