Sea Island Shooting School

My wife and I decided to get a private 2 on 1 shooting lesson. This is a ln amazing facility. It is not the largest we have been to, but the view can not be beat as you are shooting out into the marsh. The lesson was fantastic. Great intro lesson that walked through the basics and instructor could not have been better. If you are looking for a fun and different activity while on the island I would definitely add this to your list.

I love improve comedy, and these comedians were some of the best I have seen. If you are in Savannah Mon, Fri or Sat you need to get tickets ( only 10$!!!) For more than an hour of belly busting laughs and great improv! We had the best time and it's an intimate audience participation type of evening, using suggestions from the audience for much of the subject matter. Please go see these very talented comedians if you are in Savannah and want to have a great time!!

Drayton Glassworks

We had an amazing class with John and his assistant Jackson over the holidays. I have always wanted to try glassblowing but never found something that wasn't crazy expensive or way out of the way. Drayton was close to our airbnb in Savannah and very affordable for what we got which was a private class for the three of us for nearly 2.5 hours. We got to actually do all the steps in making a cup and it was really a fun and eye-opening experience to the difficult world of glass blowing. I can't wait to try again and wish John and his studio the best.

The Combat Zone

My husband and son had the best time taking turns driving an actual army tank around the tank concourse at The Combat Zone. How many 'civilians' can say they have done this before?!? To top it off, I had the tank outfitted with a turret-mounted machine gun to shoot 1,000 rounds of paint-ball bullets at targets on the concourse. Two grown men felt like little boys again playing 'army'. It was fun for me to ride along as a passenger to watch the action take place. Great excursion and great fun -- we highly recommend The Combat Zone.

Pinball machines were all the rage? Well I don’t but I do remember pac man and frogger! What an incredible palace to take the family to. This large building is filled with pinball machines, video games, foosball and jump castles! They even have beer and wine (but is strictly monitored). And the jump castles are for all except when little ones are going in. I wish this place was around a few years ago. I would’ve let my kids play for hours!! Young and old and everyone in between seems to enjoy being here. Great wholesome fun. The best part was no one was on their phones!

The Escape Company

Reviewed By aj0724 - Columbia, United States

We had a great experience doing the Haunted Manor escape room. We've done about a dozen escape rooms and this one had some really awesome features we hadn't experienced yet. The game master helped us out only when we really struggled (which is what we wanted.) The surprises were A+ One of the BEST things about this company is the bar and game lounge. It was nice to be able to have a glass of wine or beer before the match. All of the vintage-like games were a nice touch too- I could see the place being simply a fun bar for locals (hint hint) especially for happy hour times. My only criticism is that two of the locks are starting to fade. Care should be made to replace the inexpensive locks ahead of any problems.

We are family-friendly -so bring the kids and the grandparents - everyone can participate and enjoy the challenge! We also serve snacks, sodas, beer, and wine which you can take with you into the game. Our 2 original themes are based on historical events that really happened here on Tybee. Our Pirate Theme is based on Blackbeard sailing these waters and shanghaiing unwilling people to help run his ship. But if a pirate life is not for you, you do have a chance to escape. Can you solve all of Blackbeard's clever puzzles in time? Our Tybee Bomb theme is based on the fact that in 1958 a 7600 lb hydrogen bomb was accidentally dropped in the water off the south end of Tybee Island. The bomb was not armed but has been found by this crazy guy and he's probably arming it right now. Your mission, as the Tybee Bomb Squad, is to disarm the bomb.
