We lived at the Bellevue for two years. We’ve been living in apartments nationally and internationally for more than 15 years. This rating is based on our experiences over that period. Bellevue was definitely the best of the lot. Service Staff and management are very service oriented. We were treated as welcome guests not as “revenue opportunities” to be exploited or tolerated. Good staffing levels, especially maintenance. Many places tout themselves as “communities”. We lived in several of those. At Bellevue there was no such touting, but rather the reality. This came from the management and staff and then from residents. Building Well constructed. Solidly built. Good walls. You won’t hear your neighbors nor be able to see when they turn their apartment lights on or off. Well designed. Bellevue has semi-open hall corridors which catch the wind. And thus cool the building. We ran our A/C infrequently even in the summer. Amenities Fantastic residents’ lounge on the top floor (17th Floor) of the taller tower. Three walls of windows with great views of the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers and downtown Phnom Pehn. Effective A/C. Free Wi-Fi. Free tea and real coffee. The latter from a Jura machine that grinds beans for each cup and uses fresh milk. No chemical capsule coffee here. Library – eclectic collection of books and movie DVD’s—donated by residents. Green lawn outside the lounge for walking, yoga, etc. On top of the shorter tower, the Sunrise Lounge. Pre Covid the breakfast restaurant. Also used for residents’ parties. Or just watching the sunset. A tennis court, swimming pool, gym, kids’ playroom. Bellevue also has a small convenience store. Residents Mostly expat professionals and families. Responsible people > responsible behaviour. Mix of nationalities. Very friendly. Despite being newcomers we were welcomed and invited to resident organized parties. Security 24 hour guards. Gated. Key card access controlled elevators. Location Out of the hustle, bustle and noise of the city center but not far away. Short tuk tuk ride (roughly $3.5 with tip) to Aeon Mall 1 or 2. Bellevue free shuttle bus Mon – Fri to Lucky Department Store on Sihanouk next to ABA Bank HQ. On weekends and holidays to Aeon Mall 1. There’s also a ferry at the Sokha Hotel at the tip of the peninsula over to the Phnom Penh side – short walk to Aeon Mall 1 or to the PP-side Corniche/Royal Palace area. Good Neighborhood The Bellevue is excellent but what about its surroundings? One door over on the left is Khmer Organic Food. Great selection—meat, poultry, fish, fresh veggies, & fruit, rice etc. Lucky Supermarket and Aeon Value Max near the foot of the bridges to Phnom Penh. A 15-20 minute walk. Don’t miss the donut cart on Water Plant St. just around the corner off Tonle Sap. Get there early for the powdered sugar donuts! They sell out fast. Great area for a walk or exercise. Corniche along the Tonle Sap River – views of downtown PP. About 2 km to Sokha Hotel. Other options for walking or exercise. Short walk to the ferry to Kandal Province for a more rural experience. A short tuk-tuk ride to the North to ferries (there are several locations) to Koh Pich (Silk Island).

We loved this hotel!

Reviewed By JanetM1718

Our family of five stayed for a week at the Shining Angkor Boutique Hotel. From the moment the tuk tuk drivers picked us up at the airport, we felt welcome and glad we came! The hotel is decorated with beautiful carved wood throughout and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We had the Khmer massage at the hotel ($8) and it was very good. The tuk tuk driver associated with the hotel was outside waiting for us every evening to take us into town (and back) for supper and wandering around Pub Street. When we left, we forgot our brand new camera. Mr Hong Mony quickly had it sent to us in Phnom Penh. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

The location isn't great because it's far from downtown Phnom Penh and taxis and Grab drivers can't find it. It was difficult every time. But we were traveling with a large family and were able to get a three room (four bathroom) apartment. It was clean and good AC.

Nice !

Being a visitor to Siem Reap over the last 3/4 years We were having a stroll around and came across this new build In an area approximately a leisurely 10 minute stroll to Pub Street area And surrounded by ample bars and restaurants We entered the reception area and spoke to a young lady We enquired and she explained that it was due to open very soon A gentleman came over to talk to us and he turned out to be the owner and also the actual builder of the property!! He actually runs a large building and interior design business He offered to show us around Now we like the idea of a pool in the sun So we’re slightly disappointed that the pools out of the sun and enclosed on the ground floor! But ! What a pool ,On the same level there was also a Steam Room and a Sauna!! The gym that overlooked the pool was also impressive with the latest top quality equipment We were then shown one of the approximately 20 rooms Some of which overlook the front and back of the building Impressive! Each room has 2 large flat screen TVs !! Boasting a huge selection of channels One in the bedroom and one in the lounge area Best judged by looking at the photos But wait!! There is a pool!! On the top floor is a VIP room With a plunge /jacuzzi pool And a large sunbathing area Fantastic is an understatement Rental prices depend wether daily/weekly/monthly So: In all rooms you have: Excellent quality fixtures and fittings Large fridge freezer Kitchen area Microwave Washing machine Quality utensils 2 air conditioning units Lounge/seating area Large TVs Excellent shower area Very hot water Great water pressure Toiletries Towels Huge double bed with quality bed linen and lovely pillows Nearly forgot security! 24 hour reception Electronic card system that allows use of the lift It Just goes on !!!!!!!!! We managed to get 2 nights in what I call the pool room And one night in one of the other rooms So I would like to think it gives overall view of this business Now the gripes Nothing major As with any new build things get overlooked No tea towel for drying kitchen utensils Wi Fi signal strength poor THATS ALL FOLKS Being an avid contributor to TA l didn’t really want to write this post As this place is a gem And I wanted to keep it to myself!! Thoroughly recommended

Ottima posizione, economico ma rumoroso e bagno maleodorante

Reviewed By Elizabeth830

Don't bother

This location is actually across the river from Phnom Penh. There are few amenities available - no restaurants, no place to grab a beer. The service has been getting progressively worse as management tries to figure out how to pull money out of a failing business. Pricing is confused, amenities are constantly changing, and clients are forced to put up with Outpost's never-ending identity crisis. That said, the building is gorgeous and the area is stone quiet.

Yuelin Holiday Villa

perfectly positioned between local houses and Pub Street and major tourist attractions in Siem Reap. It has been recently refurbished to offer our residents the very comfortable accommodation effortlessly combining Cambodian traditional features with contemporary twist. This only accommodation is perfect for the discerning guest looking for a relaxing base from which to explore Siem Reap and experience Cambodian culture.

Cosy Property but Pathetic on Service. Not Recommended.

Room was spacious. Swimming Pool was right in front of the room. However, Cleanliness & maintenance was an issue for example the sink in bathroom would choke. The room was dusty all the way and AC would smell!!. Staff was not understanding either. We almost missed our transport because of lack of support from staff. Half of the times there would be no one at reception. There are no telephones in room to call reception - so anytime you need anything.. you need to walk up to reception. Rooms have those old key system and locks are old and not maintained well. Everytime we came back from outside we found our room open... luckily we used to pack and lock all our stuff before leaving! Finally, this hotel is difficult to find not only for tourist but also for locals as deceptively to con customers it has kept “Angkor Magictree” in its name while its actual name is only DAMNAK RUSSEY. Our local tour operators struggled a lot to locate this hotel and there would be no one at reception whom we could ask to help/guide!! DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!
