Great budget option, more guesthouse- than hotel flavour

But it ticks all boxes without any feeling of luxury, so for some people yes it is a good choice. * Very friendly service, and good meals (breakfast included, dinner a la carte) * Rooms a bit small and basic, with e.g. cold water in bathroom sink but good hot shower. Bed is basic, AC was far too noisy hence switched to the fan * Good WiFi * Smallish but clean pool * A few steps across the road to the surfing beach. Which also means lots of weekend noise at the front side rooms from parties there. (And sadly lousy facemask discipline for guests and staff, but that is a bit common in the area)

Reviewed By Eline KWe went there for lunch, the food was very tasty and fresh. The owner is also very very nice and welcoming. He gave us a lot of tips about the area and where to go and made sure we liked the food and everything was okay. Definitely recommend going here!

Reviewed By amayaawijesingheThis is a lovely option away from the bustle in Central weligama, with lovely staff. Suddas surf school next door is also great for lessons. We were able to get a sea view room, thanks to the kind manager. Highly recommend trying to book this room - the view is amazing!

Stayed here for two weeks and surfed all the local spots including Coconuts right outside. Thanks Mike, Sunil and all at Lions Rest for making it feel like home …. until next time :)

If you want to get to know the real Sri Lanka and it’s lovely people, stay in one of Nalas Rooms. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The house is near Jungle Beach as well. I was part of a Surf Camp and had my sleep over at Nalas. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Lovely family/relaxed escape

I arrived here they took me in cooked me a meal gave me a little room and an extra fan!! And managed to get a good night sleep ?? Rooms are pretty good!! Shower wasn’t amazing in my room(was the cheapest room ) But rooms Airy!! Family are so nice with there 2 dogs also! 3 + beaches to surf near by and scuba next door. Has been my sanction !! Thanks to them ????????
