Good food but cheerless service
Reviewed By deukerensWe stopped for lunch, the food was excellent and the place we ate down on the harbour front was nice. The only downside was the glum attitude of the waitress, she wasn't rude but it was close! Having said that the food was good and reasonably priced. We didn't stay in the hotel so can't rate that

Reviewed By AddaBardosWe never stayed at Dara but each day we went to buy homemade cookies. You can find raw cakes or with sugar and eggs, the price is very good. They are so good and well made, especially the chocolate cakes. You must try them!

My daughters slept in one room, my son on a sofa bed in the living room! They didn’t charge for the sofa bed set up like most places do. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The view was amazing. Private beach that was also clean and beautiful. The breakfast was lovely and the staff at breakfast were so kind, helping us practise our Bulgarian! I will definitely be back!!

Reviewed By Andyna0211Sehr sauber und ruhig. Super Preisleistung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und entgegendkommend und schaut das man sich immer sehr wohl fühlt. Wir haben unser Doppelzimmer mit Meerblick sehr genossen. Wir haben bei unseren Bekannten auch die Appartments gesehen. Diese sind sehr nett eingerichtet und es ist alles vorhanden, sogar eine Waschmaschine.

If you are forced to stay in Tsarevo
Reviewed By Andrey XHello, First of all if you are in the summer period,it's clearly not the best place for you to stay.You have other variants to stay,visit and to do like Sozopol,Primosrsko,Lozenets these places are way better then Tsarevo.Because this town is only one day visit and perfect for retired people and families,that they don't want to spend money.The restaurants are awful and I include here the serving,meals and the waiters.Nobody speaks english, only russian and bulgarian but it is good that they have menu in english.Tsarevo is not so big, the population is around 7000 persons and the main atraction are the harbour,centre and the beach Nestinarka near Hotel Regina Mare.The Aparthotel Vris is the memory of a succesful hotel that it was once.The rooms are ok,the cleaning service is fine but the restaurant Sofia is terrible.One good thing is that if you choose a room that has kitchen inlcuded you can make your own food.The staff knows only 2 words in english and in the morning if you are lucky you can eat.If you came around 09:30,I think you will eat the leftovers because if you ask the waiters to bring some food they will hesitate to say something.The swimming pool outside and inside are a joke.If you are in a mood to drink something after 22:00 hours is better to go in the city and buy something because no one is there to serve You.Their interest is only to make money and they don't value their customers and I say these things because I stayed 3 months there.To give an example I ask at the reception what to do in this town and the the answer was I don't know.Personally I Not reccomend this hotel and I think is better to reserve something in other places if don't want to get bored and sick of bad meals.

Reviewed By K_KostovThis family hotel is best located, over the sea, in centre of Tsarevo town. Rooms are big and clean. There is balcony with sea view. There are many nice beaches around Tcarevo (up to 10-15kms). There is good restaurant in hotel and many pubs and bars in city center, so this hotel is good base to explore the region. And ofcourse do not expect 5star confort in this 2 stars hotel! Very good value for money!

Mare as in 'Nightmare'
Reviewed By jervism- No hot water - the boiler was clearly broken. - Most of the bedding was stained to a certain degree but the worst sheet had a huge bloodstain on it (imagine a small Shroud of Turin) - Clumps of hair on the bathroom door and in the plugholes, toenail clippings on the balcony - the whole place was just grimy. - Broken bedside lamps. One was smashed and shoved in the wardrobe, the other just had a broken shade. - No hairdryer (it was in the list of things that come with the apartment). Apparently there is one but it's shared between several apartments. We arrived late at night and obviously complained about all of these things the next morning. We were told that someone would be along at some point later in the afternoon - it was only when we told them we wanted to leave that they came. Their representative was very forceful (if you don't speak Bulgarian, forget it) and tried to stop us from going. This only made us want to leave even more. The worst was that we'd pre-paid for the full six days and, despite the fact that we only stayed one night, they refused to give us any kind of refund. The company we'd used to book the apartment with tried to mediate but there seemed to be nothing they could do. The best they could advise was to provide a review to inform the decisions of other travellers.
