Beautiful view, hotel is located almost on the beach. Amiable staff. I recommend this place with a clear conscience.

A large and unique choice of clean and beautiful accommodations at Kribi: comfortable ( 45 euros Room with access to all the facilities of "Gites de Kribi" Pool, spas, sauna, fitness room, games room wifi etc, through the wooden hut in the mangoo tree perched in the large mango tree in front of the Ocean or the apartments, cottages with 3 bedrooms for 6 people,or the 8 bungalows with 1 to 2 rooms for 2 to 6 people for all reasonable family budgets. The most famous restaurant in the area Le Plaisir du Gout" ( "The Pleasure of Taste") on the large beach in front of the Gites de Kribi. An exceptional protected place in the pure nature.Fish and fishermen :the pure traditional african way.

Reviewed By Guy FWe were in Kribi for 5 days vacation The first 2 days were rough. We went from hotel to hotel. Paying high price and no comfort and poor staffs. We finally got a room at Gites de Kribi. Very great staffs clean room a great location. Ours last 3 days where just what we were looking for. The staffs at the front desk were nice and respectful. Great restaurant on the beach very relaxing with good breakfast buffet and good menu. The restaurant staffs were amazing. I will like to send a special shouts out to Cathy one of the restaurant staff for here honesty and professionalism. A staff member to have. Thank you again Cathy. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all family and friends. Con: not enough parking space.

Beautiful view, A/c in the rooms, not good for groups
Reviewed By CaradurasThe Tara Plage has a nice beach area and an outdoor restaurant that is pleasant. We appreciated the a/c in the guest rooms as well. Unfortunately, we were here with a group and the hotel had a very hard time preparing meals for us. It didn’t matter what time we adjusted to, each meal was about 60-90 minutes late. I think that if you were here for a family vacation without any schedule to work with, it would be a relaxing environment. However, they have some work to do if they would like to accommodate groups.

4 Bungalows with air conditioning and hot water, located in a lovely garden, 100 mt from one of the nicest beaches of Kribi. 15 mn walk from la Lobé waterfall. No roads to cross. Restaurant service or chef for the duration of your stay if venue privatised.

Ce sejour fut absolument parfait sur tous les plans, les chambres sont propres et confortables, le cadre est propice au calme et a la detente(a 3mns de la plage) Sylvain et Cristina sont des gens absolument charmants, Extrêmement serviable. Sylvain nous a fait decouvrir le marche de kribi, et nous ont arrange des excursions avec des locaux a des prix tres raisonnables Nous avant mange a plusieurs reprises a L hotel , et les plats prepares par le staff etaient goutus. Durant ces 4 jours, je ne suis jamais senti dans une relation commerciale, je reviendrai avec plaisir des que je le peux a Edden Lodge et je recommande tres vivement cet hotel

Very nice B&B with a heart for Art
Reviewed By educaidconsultingVery nice B&B at the beachside of Kribi. The rooms are very clean and a real African feeling is made by all the beautifull art inside and oustide the house. We felt very welcome here. Surveillance at night is foreseen. The only disadvantages is that you have to check an inventory. (due to all the Art that is inside, there is always a risk of theft apparently)

Small clean family-owned and run new hotel at the Falls
Reviewed By mlb623We rented the room on Expedia, and we really enjoyed it. it's across the highway from the falls, walking distance to the beach. The four-story hotel is clean, quiet and comfortable. The rooms have A/C and mosquito nets. The best part is the covered roof deck, with great views to the water and the jungle behind. The owner is Italian, and it is family run. We will be back.

Décevant, malgré le position à côté de l’océan - Disappointing, despite its location
Reviewed By ArgosRoadrunnerQuelques points positifs pour notre séjour de deux nuits, mais plus de points négatifs au total. Dans l'ensemble, très décevant malgré son emplacement proche de l'océan. Alors que l'accueil était bon, nous sommes partis en pensant que ce n'était pas sincère, d'autant plus que personne n'a précisé à l'arrivée que le petit déjeuner n'était pas inclus dans le prix! Si vous exigez des prix très proches des prix européens, offrez au moins un service proche des prix européens! Malheureusement, ce dernier était trop africain: une salle de bain sans eau chaude, une douche sans pression, pas de savon (heureusement, nous avions apporté la notre), une serviette de bain et une serviette des mains pour deux personnes, des draps trop petits pour le matelas et des oreillers dur comme la pierre! Ils parlent de Wifi, mais ça ne marche pas dans la chambre, il faut être à côté du bar. Au départ, on nous a présenté une facture totalement inattendue de 29 000 FCFA, pour quatre petits déjeuners et une bouteille d'eau minérale! Le propriétaire était introuvable, ayant quitté sa femme pour faire face à notre départ. Sans le volume de touristes à Kribi et le manque d'hébergement de bonne qualité à un prix raisonnable, cet endroit ne survivrait pas! Si jamais nous devions revenir, ce serait juste un endroit pour dormir, et pas un centime de plus à dépenser sur place. Comme dit le proverbe, "Caveat Emptor"! (Autrement dit ‘Acheteur, méfiez-vous)! A few positives for our two night stay, but more negatives in total. Overall, very disappointing despite its location close to the ocean. Whilst the welcome was good, we left feeling it was insincere, especially as no one made it clear on arrival that breakfast was not included in the price! If you demand close to European prices, then at least deliver close to European service! Sadly the latter was all too African: an en-suite with no hot water, a shower with hardly any water pressure, no soap, (happily we had brought our own), one bath and one hand towel for two guests, sheets that were too small for the mattress and pillows that were hard as stone! They say there is free WiFi, but it doesn’t work in the bedroom, you have to be out at the bar area. On departure we were presented with a totally unexpected bill for FCA 29,000, for four breakfasts and a bottle of mineral water! The owner was nowhere to be seen, having left his wife to deal with our departure. If it weren’t for the volume of tourists in Kribi and the lack of good-quality accommodation at a reasonable price, this place would not survive! If we were ever to return, it would be just as a place to sleep, and not a centime more to be spent at the location. As the saying goes, ‘Caveat Emptor’!

All the rooms of 30m ² of floor space are equipped of: t V cabled , of WIFI connection to the reception of hotel, air-conditioning, cupboard, room of bath and hot water the restaurant overhangs the sea and the cheaf feels at ease as well in the international cuisine as local the beach in 5m and leisure activities coupled with a generator and drilling make it a restful place.
What a crappy hotel
Reviewed By Millet SThis is the worst hotel that i ever been on. The cleaning staff is clueless when it come to cleaning a room. Sometimes we would get a one clean towel ( for two persons) and sometimes you dont get a new cleaning towel. The aircondition makes a heavy Sound that its imposseble to sleep. The Day before the last Day, i got really sick with feber and bad stomic ace, because the kitchen staff served me tee with unclean Water. WTF!? Dont choose this hotel, you Will eather get sick, not being able to sleep or get a dirty room. PS the pool is not clean , it was green when we arrived and left ( we States for 5 days)

Nice hotel
Reviewed By Aimar BI spent some good time in this hotel for a couple of days. Rooms are very clean, AC good, TV as well. My only disappointment was internet that was not available. This is not the first time I experienced this situation in that same hotel. I really think they should fix this issue. Nonetheless I would recommend this hotel to people may want to spend some good time in Kribi.
