Reviewed By NeiljwWe chose this place on convenience for the Shimaanadi Kaido and were not disappointed. The views from the rooms were spectacular and the traditional Japanese food was quite something. All the staff were very kind and attention particularly the English speaking man who gave us lifts everywhere. A great end to our holiday.

A homey atmosphere where you can feel at ease. Dinner is Japanese-style Kaiseki cuisine with local Setouchi fish, food. We are in a good location in Shimanami Kaido Expressway. Sawaki is along the main cycling route in Omishima. It's along the blue line. We are easily accessible to Ohkunoshima called "rabbit island". Free WiFi available.

Huge room (actually a suite) in traditional Japanese style 3. Extremely helpful staff 4. Amazing breakfast - also traditional Japanese, about 14 bowls per person 5. Lawson convenience store over the road

A much needed visit along the Shimanami Kaido
Reviewed By nadeemiesMy wife and I did the SK biking route this month and we stayed at Fujimien (aka as Fuji Park) this month and we loved the play immensely. The staff is super sweet and the food is amazing (seafood based) and healthy! They have an onsen on the first floor and comfortable beds. I highly recommend stopping here during your SK bike run as it's a perfect middle of the entire route. There is bike parking in the back and the staff know enough English to explain what is needed.

A Friendly Hot-Spring Inn
Reviewed By KwakakuThe hot spring was just great for my tired body after driving across the Seto Inland Sea along Shimanami Kaido Highway. The hot water was smooth and was so hot that I could bathe myself for a long time. They were very friendly, and the food was not bad.

Great Halfway Point
Reviewed By Paul BWe stopped here for the night doing the Shimanami Kaido bike ride. This is the first ryokan I have stayed in and it was a lot of fun. Don't expect western style furniture. Sleeping on thin but comfortable mattresses. No one working there speaks English, so if you don't speak Japanese be prepared to a lot of warm conversation you will not understand. Rooms were very clean, food was excellent, town is quiet.

NO NO NO...GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!
Reviewed By Sebastien RAvoid like the plague... The most dingy, dirty and creepy hotel I have ever stayed at. Got there in the evening after completing the "shimanami Kaidou" bike ride, all we wanted was to relax in our rooms. We were met with an extensive check-in process, once that was sorted we moved into this dirty, outdated lift with a smell. It is fair to say, the whole hotel carries a smell of cigarette and moisture. The rooms were atrocious, the carpet was stained and worn-out, the sofa had a huge stain on it, the side table was covered in dust, the paint was coming off the cracked walls and to top it all off, there was some sort of powder on the curtain that would rub off on you when opening the windows. All this with the strongest smell of cigarette. They provide a kettle and cups in the room but no tea or coffee and old used unhygienic slippers are provided for use. The corridor leading to the lift in the evening was very eerie and creepy with barely no light and some light music in the background. The breakfast was mediocre at best (the host had a runny nose) and our checkout time was moved from 11:00 to 10:00am. Keep in mind we were a party of 3 with separate rooms and we all shared the exact same experiences. These issues are NOT isolated to 1 room only.

Reviewed By 効三 徳鈍川温泉（にぶかわおんせん）は、愛媛県今治市玉川町鈍川（えひめけんいまばりしたまがわちょうにぶかわ）にある温泉地だ。 道後温泉、本谷温泉とともに伊予の三湯といわれている。 鈍川温泉美賀登（みかど）は、鈍川温泉にある旅館だ。 今回は、ここに宿泊する。 2020年12月10日、この日は西山興隆寺に参拝した。 そこから車で、美賀登の駐車場にやってきた。 舗装されていないが、停めやすい駐車場だ。 玄関を入る。 館内は、昭和レトロな雰囲気。 この日泊まるのは、1階の吉野という部屋だ。 和室。 マッサージチェアが部屋に付いている。 温泉に行くのだが、部屋にも風呂が付いている。 部屋風呂も温泉というのが、なんとも贅沢。 窓の外は、渓谷だ。 古い部屋だが、トイレは温水便座。 夕飯まで時間があるので、散歩することにした。 道路の下に遊歩道らしきものが見えるが、かなりの期間放置されているようなので道路を進むことにした。 先に進んだところにある遊歩道に入る。 逆アーチ型の橋が見える。 湯の花橋といい、全国に２ヶ所しかない珍しい形だそうだ。 渓谷がきれいだ。 ふれあい橋まで歩いてきた。 湯神社に参拝する。 旅館に戻ってきた。 お待ちかねの夕食だ。 食事前に入った温泉は泉質が素晴らしかった。 源泉中のラドンの含有量が多いそうだ。 この日のメニューはイノブタ鍋。 白子豆腐。 鮎の塩焼き。 お造り。 天ぷら。 なんと松茸の天ぷらだ。 日本酒は雪雀。 海鮮カルパッチョ。 鯛釜飯。 伊勢エビ。 デザートは杏仁豆腐。 グッスリ休んで、朝食。 食後はいただいたケーキでツレのお誕生日を祝う。 チェックアウトし、先に進んだ。

Reviewed By kiwidale2017Location is right by the port, where the ferry arrives and also has a bike rental place where you can hire or drop off bicycles for the Shimanimi Kaido. Very friendly staff with basic english skills. Room was quite comfortable. The included dinner was outstanding, a dinner for one with enough food to for 2-3 people. It was a seafood extravaganza, highlighting all the wonderful seafood from this area. I really didn’t do it justice. Overall a very comfortable stay at a reasonable price.
