Reviewed By 805carolineaI took my son (8 years old) for a night there so we could spend some quality time together. All in all we loved it! Our room was great - we loved the deco and the balcony with a view of the Rhine. We hit the pool and relaxed in the spa area. A few minor complaints here though! 1. My son couldn’t get a bath robe but other kids at the pool seemed to have them. 2. Kids are only allowed in the pool until 16:30. This is too early as lots of families like a swim after a day out before dinner. This should definitely be moved back until @18:00. The bar area was lovely with a small sandy area with swings which really appealed to my son. The service was friendly and the prices acceptable. We were not happy when we booked the hotel though that we could only get a dinner table at 17:30. We would never eat so early! Maybe ok for people with toddlers! The hotel offers 2 sittings - 1 at 17:30 and 1 at 20:00. We were lucky in that our reservation could be switched to 20:00 on the day of our arrival. This was however a bit too late for an 8 year old and we had to get snacks from the Trust Bar (a nice touch!) to keep us going. We would ideally have wanted to eat @ 19:00. We ate in the Italian restaurant and the food was good. We thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast next day although a second coffee machine would be good for busy mornings like this one. Overall we had a great experience but there is bit of room for improvement. We do however plan on returning!

Very helpful and pleasant staff I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone

Our house is listed and protected as a landmark - because of this none of our guest rooms are the same, but each one has its own unique charme.

Reviewed By Anna MWe stayed here with our extended family. We occupied 2 rooms. One bigger room for a family of 4, and another room for a couple. The bigger room was huge! Both rooms were clean. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was satisfying.

Clean, Good Location but zero sleep
Reviewed By trvlcrzyPros: locatiom, price, clean basic, curt and helpful staff. Cons: a/c still not working due to winter season even though it’s warm, so we had to open the windows as it was getting stuffy and hot in the room. Big mistake as now we had to deal with endless construction noise including a loud jackhammer daily! We were so sleep deprived during our entire stay. Another problem was the broken shades between the bathroom and bedroom: zero privacy. Not sure what’s the purpose of this odd design anyway. The one thing that we considered acceptable though is the cost of the stay. We paid at least 3 star prices for a 2-3 star hotel vs. most Munich central 3 star hotels with 4 star prices.

Reviewed By Rick19388We stayed several nights on 2 occasions while traveling around Bavaria. The new rooms are very well done. Comfortable beds, great shower and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were ready to fly home and need a covid test - manager made appointment for us, filled out the forms and within an hour of signing us up, walking to the test center, we had our negative test complete for flight home. Breakfast was an excellent European selection.

Great hotel for weekend away
Reviewed By DarlingtonPhill20 of us stopped here for 2 nights , the place was very clean and modern , the rooms are well equipped and are a nice size for two people , the staff were great and helped us if required . The hotel is around a 10 minute walk to the old town and there is a nice Vietnamese restaurant next door if you fancy a bite to eat there is also a cafe/bakery about 50 meters way , we would definitely stop here again , thanks for a great weekend

Bad experience
Reviewed By Travel416517Check in was a mess and took ages. 20 Minutes per room at a self use terminal that chrashed and had to be restarted by guests. Almost one hour for 2 rooms, which is not funny when you arrive late with children. Additionally one bed was missing.

Nice contemporary atmosphere
Reviewed By LCGANITIt is a nice, contemporary type of accomodation. The room was spacious and clean, the common areas are pleasant and nicely decorated. The staff is very friendly and professional. Dilyana in particular was very helpful and assisted me with several issues such as the (free of charge) bike etc. The location is very convenient, all main sites are easily reachable, but it is not in the inner city itself (which I don't recommend). The road is lively at night, but I can't understand why some reviews complained about it: there is no traffic nor pollution, just people enjoying themselves, and if you don't want to hear their noise, you just have to shut the windows ;-) The common areas provide good opportunities for a chat to solo travellers. I recommend it!

Beside a hotel it is the oldest pub in town and has been in the gastronomical business since 1803. However, the history of the building at Glockenstraße 12 can be traced back much longer. The listed front house was built in 1567 on walls dating from the 12th century. The historical cellar vault dates back to the fortification of the Cathedral in the 11th century. From 2012 to 2016, the Glocke was laboriously renovated. In addition, the hotel business, which was discontinued in the 1990s, was resumed. The guests can now expect lovingly and individually decorated rooms over four floor levels. Besides spacious double rooms, the owner-managed hotel offers suites and junior suites. Some of the rooms have a beautiful view of the Cathedral of Trier.
