Reviewed By SuryeshC2Me n my wife stayed here for 7 days and this was one of the best places to stay, in Sri Lanka. Rooms were really really spacious. Bathroom was huge. Look from the balcony was utterly awesome, the real game changer. They supplied free bot ride to the beach nearby but the beach seemed useless and the view from the room itself was great enough. Staff was so friendly and welcoming that we felt like home. Great breakfast and food also. Evethough google map will not show this as a restaurant but actually it is a proper functioning restaurant. This isn't like a proper 4 star hotel but the experience is a little different, and believe me, it's in a better way.

Unpleasant experience
Reviewed By WatbanMI only tried the water sport hub at the resort, was staying in a different hotel. The overall experience was unsatisfactory, the staff of the water sport center were unprofessional and utterly rude with overpriced activities. I paid 35$ for a 15 minute ride on the jet ski, all I got is less than 10 minutes of it, the staff claimed I stretched more than 15 minutes. I tried to contact management in order to sort such behavior, no response came. For water sporting activities, I recommend to go some where else.

Our hotel is located near the center of aluthgama in bentota near a nice beach , 5 min by tuk tuk or 15 min walk throw very nice villages. This hotel has a big garden with natural temperatured swimming pool. You can order individual lunches and book individual tours. Come and visit us

The garden is beautiful, the swimming pool very well kept and the rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. The service was excellent. The manager, Sampath, caters to your every need - transport, sightseeing and any day tot day requirements. In the restaurant, Wasanthe, make sure you get whatever you need. Rooms are kept clean by Kolonne, who makes it his mission to make sure everything is 100%. It is clear the staff takes tremendous pride in their work. The food served was very good. The breakfast is delicious and huge. Same for the dinners. I recommend the Sri Lanka Rice and Curry. The property is not on the beach but transport is easily arranged and very cheap. I will definitely return to Bougain Villa for a longer stay!

Best place to relax and enjoy
Reviewed By ujithh2017We had a very relaxing & enjoyable time at High Rich resort. The river view is stunning where all the water sports are happening. The rooms are very clean and nice & very friendly staff. The chef Ashoka served us delicious dinner & breakfast. The spa tub was a special feature of the hotel. Highly recommended for great hospitality.

Reviewed By HJ2007This is the perfect place to stay. We really can’t recommend it highly enough! We booked 2 nights but stayed 3 as we loved it here. The location is literally 2 minutes walk to the beach, there a couple of places on the beach you can buy cold drinks and a little place to the right hand side you can hire a sunbed if you wish. There are restaurants that Lucky will happily recommend but Luckys wife Maureen’s cooking is AMAZING, the best meal we have had in 6 weeks of travelling, so I would definitely recommend having lunch or dinner whilst you stay. The fresh lime juice is the best too. we stayed in room 1 on the top floor. The room had everything we needed including a fridge, A/C, mosi net, fan, big wardrobe and table and chairs as well as a tv. The bathroom had lots of towels and complimentary soap, cotton wool, shampoo etc. We are interested in wildlife so lucky arranged a boat tour for us on the mangroves, you board the boat at the beach, we saw so many things; eagles, kingfishers, woodpeckers, frogs, a snake, an owl, crocodiles and water monitors and huge fruit bats. We would highly recommend a stay here if you want top class hospitality and a lovely room in a good location.

Lovely little place
Reviewed By robertknghtOur first stop in Sri Lanka and after the trip it is still one of my most memorable. Nimesh and family made us feel so welcome staying with them. The accommodation is a little villa situated right next to the family home on the bank of the river. The garden is lovely and the pool was great. Nimesh helped organise water sports for us that picked us up from the garden itself, super convenient and lots of fun. He even gave us free tuktuk rides about Bentota, as well as great tips for places to eat/drink. Would highly recommend staying at this place, no regrets

Reviewed By nevermainzA wonderful relaxed place owned by a very kind Sri Lankan family that cares for you and make you feel very welcome. The hotel offers comfortable rooms with fan and air-conditioning, own bathroom, private balcony with superb sunset river view and free boat transfer to the nearby beach. A full tasty breakfast is available and highly recommended. This all comes at reasonable prices and served with Nuwans, Dineshas and Senuls incomparable Sri Lankan hospitality.
