I must admit, we were looking for another restaurant that had been recommended by an outsider. But you will notice that you easily run past the restaurants in Taketomi. A local guy gave us some directions and finally we found this rather basic establishment. As at that time it was damn hot, we welcomed the wind of the many ventilators in the room. The udon with spare ribs was to die for. On the other hand, toilet was not available.

Try to reserve a table in advance, the restaurant replied it is full but ask us to try walk-in at 8:30pm. We arrived there and could get a table without waiting. Price of Wagyu is significantly higher than another restaurant we had wagyu the day before. Quality of wagyu is about the same but this place is more comfortable.

Lunch on the fly. This meal set was a very good value (I had the tonkatsu set, fried pork cutlet).But the neighbor had beef soup with rice that looked even. better. I think itâs called gyu jiru.I definitely would come back if Iâm in the area.
