This restaurant offers regional Japanese food in a tradional setting. They had menus in multiple languages and our waitresses spoke good English. The food is interesting and good (would recommend one of the sets plus a few additions) but not spectacular. They have a Japanese song performance over dinner which started mellow but then got the whole place up and dancing at the end. Overall this is a great dining experience and given the excellent atmosphere something I'd recommend for a trip on Ishigaki.

I must admit, we were looking for another restaurant that had been recommended by an outsider. But you will notice that you easily run past the restaurants in Taketomi. A local guy gave us some directions and finally we found this rather basic establishment. As at that time it was damn hot, we welcomed the wind of the many ventilators in the room. The udon with spare ribs was to die for. On the other hand, toilet was not available.

I really wanted to hate this place! Itâs too noisy on the phone to make reservation. Theyâre serving endangered species. Itâs full of tourists.But everything was off the hook. So good itâs ridiculous. Seriously donât go, theyâre getting a swelled head.

They had both outside and inside tables, traditional Okinawa lunches. The old lady was very cute and had a nice smile.

Lovely outdoor restaurant run by an elderly couple. Was surprised at how good the food was and the price was very reasonable. Ordered the Yaeyama soba and the Hamburger Steak. The Soba was a little light but still tasty. The hamburger steak though was actually really good with an interesting homemade sauce I wish I knew the recipe for.

We stayed on Taketomi for 6 days and this place was a regular for us - great food, ice cold beer, lovely service and an English menu. What more do you need! Try the Ishigaki hamburger, served with a fried egg, salad and pickles. It's the best hamburger on the island. My favourite though is the chicken skin gyoza: minced chicken stuffed into chicken thigh skin, rolled then deep fried - delicious!!

It's not the easiest place to find Restuarants to eat this time of year but came across this place winding through the village roads. Certainly not the only place we found it easy to choose food from the menu due to the pictures as our Japanese is limited. I went for the shrimp curry with rice whilst my wife for a vegetarian option. Both were good and made better by the draft beer!

We ordered one A set and one yaeyama soba. The A set comes with an Ishigaki Beef patty, a fried shrimp, and various other fried bits and pieces. It also comes with salad and a mini yaeyama soba. The best part? We were here in August, and this restaurant is AIR CONDITIONED. After four hours at the beach, it was heaven!

The Soba here is very tasty among with its meat. The meat you need to try, extremely well done, as compared to other meat in main land japan on your average restaurants. You will probably need to wait outside, so be sure to write your name on the paper to make the reservation. They will pick the letter up and call up the names! Meanwhile, have free water outside the restaurant to tap on.
