The Sudan or Sudan (/suːˈdæn, -ˈdɑːn/ ( listen); Arabic: السودان as-Sūdān) also known as North Sudan since South Sudan's independence and officially the Republic of the Sudan (Arabic: جمهورية السودان Jumhūriyyat as-Sūdān), is a country in Northern Africa. It is bordered by Egypt to the north, the Red Sea, Eritrea and Ethiopia to the east, South Sudan to the south, the Central African Republic to the southwest, Chad to the west and Libya to the northwest. It is the third largest country in Africa covering 1,886,068 square kilometres (728,215 sq mi). The White Nile flows through the country, emptying into Lake Nubia in the north, the largest manmade lake in the world. The River Nile divides the country into eastern and western halves. Before the Sudanese Civil War, South Sudan was part of Sudan, but it became independent in 2011.

I was told that a place to this place is a must from my father who ate there couple of years ago. Well, The service is super slow and the food you order is hardly what you get and they behave like they do not care. I can't recommeneded at any level.

Ozone is a nice escape in the city. It has a beautiful garden under a monumental tree and fast service. You will not find any local food or delicacy, but the menu is satisfactory enough for your preferences - meat, salad, pasta or breakfast. They prepare coffee with care.The fruit juices are fresh, but a bit slow in servicing. The only bug is that they do not have sparkling water (I don't really know why). Their pizza is not like the regular circular pizza that you find in pizzerias but still OK. Portions are big, and the plate content is rich. Their burger is worth trying, and Caesar Salad is my favorite. When you are in Khartoum, you will visit Ozone unavoidably...

The restaurant and staff were great... while we were eating they had a man playing songs on an acoustic guitar. The view was of course great from there, but pics were a little hard to take due to the layout of the restaurant. The hotel was mostly filled with Saudi businessmen, there is a small gift shop on the first floor.

That's really the highlight. The confluence of the two Niles. And Tutti island, Omdurman, and Khartoum North (Bahri).
You won't get a better public view anywhere, as this is up on the 28th floor of this egg-shaped futurely designed hotel funded by Gaddadi during his heydays in Africa.
The food? A buffet. International.
Bland but decent. What you'll remember is the view.
So take a window seat, if you are not afraid of heights.

The food is below average, but really great for Khartoum, service is slow so take your mobile and occupy yourself for 30 to 45 minutes while they make your food (even if it's empty) the staff are friendly but very sloooooooooooow. Don't go here if you are hungry, or you will either fall asleep or die of starvation before your food arrives.
The Soup of the day is usually not bad and the burgers are OK. As for the other dishes, well, if you're really very hungry, they will fill a hole and tadte will not be that important anyway. The place has huge potential, in another Country it would be a really happening place. In Khartoum it has a feeling of the day after the natural disaster. Also there's a problem with the music system so don't be surprised if you hear the same song being played continually for an hour, no one will bother skipping to the next song and as you lay in bed that night, that same song will be going through your head.

This Turkish restaurant offers excellent value for money. Had an excellent meze platter (tzatziki, humus etc.) starter with pizza bread, a fresh mixed salad and then the Turkish version of a mixed grill, washed down with an excellent fresh lemon & mint juice. The food quality was great, as was the service, which was almost too fast, as the mains arrived very soon after the starters. The restaurant's interior was similar to a 1960s diner, but was very clean and there was good a/c. All in all, a most pleasant experience.
As in the rest of Sudan, no alcohol is served, and credit cards aren't accepted.

If you are in Khartoum city you definitely have to try this great restaurant located inside Al-Salam Rotana hotel .
Beside the beautiful interior design , friendly staff and outstanding outdoor garden they serve the best food at the town!
The breakfast buffet included many choices of food started from vegetables , fruits , Deserts , traditional and international cuisine beside a freshly made omelet , ban cakes and waffle .
The staff were very friendly and they serve your choice of hot , cold or fresh drinks .
For me its was all perfect and am gonna visit it again !

The restaurant has all of the qualities of a Western restaurant with the flare of a local sudanese restaurant. Some may find the place to be too theatrical but the restaurant pulls it off as best as can be done. After a long period of time in the North of the country subsisting in a vegetarian diet I was looking forward to some grilled meat. Assaha is a popular Lebanese restaurant, located inside a hotel, distributed over many rooms and popular with locals and expats alike. The food is tasty and all dishes are big enough to share between 2+ people. The downside was the service - it was very slow. Prices are midrange. Recommended.
