Steenbergen (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsteːnbɛrɣə(n)] ( listen)) is a municipality and a town in the province of North Brabant in the south of the Netherlands. The municipality had a population of 24,815 in 2017 and covers an area of 159.14 km (61.44 sq mi) of which 12.48 km (4.82 sq mi) is water. The municipality is mainly agricultural including a strongly growing greenhouse sector, but Steenbergen and the nearby town of Dinteloord also contain some light industry. A new stretch of A4 motorway under construction is expected to further increase the municipality's attractiveness, allowing easy connections with the large cities of Rotterdam to the north and the Belgian city of Antwerp to the south. The connection with the nearby city of Bergen op Zoom will also be improved as a result.

My husband's brother and his bride to be had selected this restaurant for their wedding dinner; we now know why. The various members of our group (some twenty odd persons) were all individually welcomed by the hostess, who showed us our table. Inside we were presentedwith a glass of sparkling wine. We were, then, treated to a seven-course dinner, a whole range of dishes all delicious and all beautifully arranged on tasteful dinner service. There was plenty of time in between courses to go outside fro a stroll or a cigarette or simple to have a chat with someone other than our partner at table. We wound up with coffe or tea and homemade chocolate delicacies.
As the bride and groom paid for everything we had no idea how much the dinner pro persons cost.

Eaten here a few times now, and can't really fault it.
Food and service is usually spot on. Tried numerous dishes between us, never been unhappy yet!
There's a small salad bar you can help yourself to as well.
It's nice to be greeted with an ouzo when you arrive and a liquor when the leave.

We visited this restaurant three years ago when it was excellent.
Our expectations therefore were high on this occasion, however the service and food fell well below expectations.
We waited forever between courses, the wine was positioned well away from us and we were frequently sat with empty glasses.
Nice outside Terrace and excellent interior but sadly not what it was as a restaurant.

We stopped for lunch while driving between Bruges and Amsterdam. What a delightful surprise this was! The food was superb and the service spot on.
I had a Club Sandwich and then requested a Vanilla Ice cream. The host suggested that I might also like some strawberries to accompany the ice cream. The presentation of this dish was a work of art. Ice cream portions, strawberries and cream, plus a brandy snap. It tasted as good as it looked.
Meanwhile other guests had chosen cheese and a trolley bearing a huge variety of cheeses was produced. The host went out of his way to provide information about the various cheese types.
If you’re in the area it would be worth making a detour. Highly recommended.

I gave been here several times in the oast and every time I am blown away by the way the chef combines simplicity and richness of flavors. We took the combination of cold and hot starter (grande antepasti caldi e freddi) followed by the signature dish of this restaurant : (Pasta al Parmigiano) pasta prepared in cheese molten by burning whiskey. Just great showcooking at your table. Great experience. Always make Reservations to make sure you don't miss out on this opportunity to have great Italian food north of the Alps.

This Lounge restaurant still delivers the best ribs in the region, great taste, moisture and variation make these ribs fabulous, you can really suck the Meat Off the rib without any problem, menu has more "non common" choises which makes this restaurant stand out in comparison to other restaurants.
This in combination of the ambiance and style makes me want to give them 6 stars.

Had a great experience at this restaurant which is located in a cute little village near the sea. Food was absolutely great and wines were very good also. Wine pairing wasn't perfect and not sure if the restaurant really felt like Michelin star quality (I always expect them to really surprise me with the food, wines and beautiful presentation). However, I would definitely visit this beautiful restaurant again and recommend it highly.

Steenbergen Noord Drenthe restaurant Jachtlust is een bezoek waard. Culinair pareltje in een mini dorpje. Lekker terras, persoonlijke bediening, gastvrij echtpaar.
Heerlijk eten, kwaliteit super.

Probably one of the best mussels I've ever had in my life. Instead of having one big portionn you get three different pots with 3 flavours: naturel (with hints of lemongrass), provencale, and curry (save this for last as it's astonishing good!). Service was also really friendly without being pushy and we will certainly come back. Anyone who's visiting Tholen and wants to go out for dinner should come here!
