An outdoor playground in the center of Roosendaal

This is a good outdoor playground suited best for young and very young kids. There is a lot to do here and the well maintained activities kept our kids amused for our entire visit. A small entrance fee keeps the undesirables away and there's a small cafe on-site serving snacks and drinks. Parking is limited so be prepared for a short walk to the entrance.

We were just passing time so had a walk around, there is a good mix of shops from designer lables to more regular names and plenty of choice for eating.

Unexpected in a small provincial city you enter a passage in the shopping area and suddenly you find yourself in 19th century Italy. A band of older men singing the original Italian version of Mama. If you take a closer look: the band members turn out to be wax figures moving! Colorful stained glass ceilings. Statues of Marco Polo and Columbus. Nice shops especially the book store. Certainly a place not to miss when visiting Roosendaal.

Roselaar shopping center is one like many in the Netherlands with branches of the major chains and some special shops. However, coming from Antwerp this is the first one across the border. Pleasant modern place, though the nearby Passage is more to my liking.
There is a car park with entrance at the Laan van Brabant. Price: 0.90€ per 30 minutes. The main entry to the shopping center is at the other side of the block. Most shops close at 5:30 PM.

Went here hoping to get a map of the town and was told that they didn't have any and to just use Google. Not great as a tourist without Internet access

In het museum biedt men wisselende presentaties aan die een hedendaagse kijk tonen op verleden en toekomst. Het belangrijkste in het museum is de historie over Roosendaal. Rond het museum ligt een gracht met prachtige waterlelies. Het gebouw is een oude pastorie die helemaal vernieuwd is en beschikt over rode accenten.

My son visited this museum with his uncle and cousin in Roosendaal. He thought it was cleverly done, very interesting and good fun. The best part was playing football on the real pitch. He enjoyed seeing a replica World Cup and strips from all the Dutch teams. It took about two hours to see. This isn't well known but well worth a visit for football fans.

We hebben op zaterdag een bezoek gebracht aan de molen De Twee Gebroeders en daar een rondleiding gekregen van de molenaar en zijn enthousiaste hulpje. Deze stellingmolen is gebouwd in 1872 en vernoemd naar de twee zonen van de bouwer (Adrianus en Petrus). De molen is nog steeds in bedrijf en tijdens het malen van het graan werd op een enthousiaste manier van alles over de molen en het maalproces verteld. Hiervoor moest wel flink wat geklommen worden want de molen is erg hoog. Deze hoogte had men nodig om voldoende wind te vangen.
Het was erg leuk om deze molen te bezoeken omdat er echt werd uitgelegd hoe het proces werkt. Het meel van deze molen is ook hier te koop. Iedere zaterdag kun je hier terecht. Leuk om een echt ambachtsman aan het werk te zien!

Als je houdt van deze kunst, kom dan zeker een kijkje nemen. Maar het was niet mijn ding. De werken waren wel duur geprijsd.

В Розендале оказалась во время смены поездов на пути из Брюсселя в Роттердам - тогда на этом пути шли дорожные работы и пришлось на некоторое время выйти в городок. Городок спокойный, ничего особенно интересного обнаружить, впрочем, не удалось.
