Good location - friendly staff

Literally just off the motorway and there is a reasonably priced petrol station just across the motorway for refuelling. Reception closed but the lady was in the cafeteria so easy to find. My limited Spanish was useful as limited English spoken (but why should they). Easy to park right outside the cabins, which are dated but they are good size and there is air conditioning. A small fridge in the room, and television but reception not always strong. As has been said the food is 'basic' and we felt quite expensive, the burger on offer double the price charged in our local Spanish bar in our village. Drinks were reasonably priced but more expensive than in villages. White wine too sweet for us, but a couple of glasses of handmade sangria was very good. Despite being so close to the motorway it was quite and we slept well. The bathroom is very good, a great shower and plenty of hot water. So if you don't expect too much for the price then this is a convenient place to stay.

A room with a view

Reviewed By Mac54Lin

We came, found a note on the reception window that the key was in the door. The hostess turned up after two days. All talk about service, tennis, wineyard and selling of local wine was bull, there was nothing and never staff in the reception. The room was okey and well equipped in the kitchen part. If you don’t have car it’s hard match to get up there. But... the view and surroundings are amazing!

Wonderful Weekend

Reviewed By Vivw68

The hotel was in a nice location in a quieter area. We had a very clean and spacious room with kettle, microwave & fridge facilities... Balconies were small but had comfortable seating... The rooftop was great with amazing views and enjoyed an afternoon up there on the sun beds relaxing - Did not get chance to use the hot tub but looked great on a future trip - Breakfast had an amazing menu to offer in the cafe next door and I enjoyed yoghurt with museli & fruit with bagels and scrambled eggs.... The staff were very friendly and welcoming and loved the fact I was practising some Spanish with them - Will be back again in the future

Bit of a surprise

Reviewed By Kevin142

We found there were very few places in this area. We were not wanting to stay in Avilés itself and this was in a perfect place. I have seen similar motels in Asia. The room we had was very large and modern but I was surprised by the lack of power sockets. In particular there were none by the desk. The bathroom was also of very good size. The idea is you arrive by car and access your room via individual garages. There are no real public areas. As all the rooms are on ground level they are quiet. The idea is to be very discreet. You don't even need to see the staff. An intercom at the gate is how you get access: the staff open the garage remotely and once in you close it. No keys. When in the room there is a basic 24 hour room service. Food, including breakfastand any drinks you want, is delivered through a rotating hatch. If you go there to meet someone and don't want anyone else to know about it, this is the perfect place. We nevertheless saw the staff and they were friendly and helpful. It is good value, but does not offer many facilities. For the foreign visitor, there are only Spanish channels on the TV. The Internet is totally unsecured, which is a concern.

Unforutnately poor GEorge had to be put to sleep which was traumatic enogh but without the kindness and hel extended by the staff it would have been very much worse.
