Southern Cook Islands, Cook Islands Food Guide: 7 Seafood food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Aitutaki

August 17, 2019 Leida Jutras

Reviews on Seafood food in Aitutaki, Southern Cook Islands, Cook Islands. This small island encased in a triangular barrier reef boasts incredible lagoons. Relax with a intimate picnic on the alabaster beach of one of Aitutaki’s minor islands, uninhabited and lined with swaying palm trees. Despite its heartbreaking beauty, Aitutaki isn’t (yet) flooded with tourists, due to its relatively difficult-to-reach location. For off-the-beaten-sandbar vacationing, Aitutaki is a prime destination, especially for those seeking unbridled romantic ambiance.

Had a few meals here when we stayed on the island and each of the meals was good. The service was also good, staff friendly The best part of this restaurant was the outlook, over the lagoon, clear waters, islands in the distance, just majicalUnfortunately just after we left it burnt down, but i am sure that they will get this up and running again soon. There is another restaurant on site but not with the view like this one.Kia Orana,Thank you for writing your review on your dining experience at the Flying Boat Beach Bar & Grill. The location of the restaurant captures the full beauty of the lagoon and as mentioned the setting is gorgeous. Meeting the expectations of our guests is a key factor to our success we will continue to provide friendly and happy service to all our guests. You would be pleased to know, the new Kuriri Point BBQ & Beach Bar has since opened for lunch. We introduced a new menu incorporating international favourites as well as a wider range of fresh local ingredients. This has been well received with good comments about the taste and presentation plus gorgeous view.Thank you again and we look forward to welcoming you back to our “Island Paradise”.Kia Manuia,Jason NapaResort Manager

Beautiful location and worth going there just for that. Great cocktails- probably the best on the island. We had lunch and two evening meals there. Food average especially the steak. Great beef burgers though. Don’t let that put you off if you want to experience the beauty of the location. Very attentive staff.

The area where it is located is mindblowing. From the restaurant you get stunning views of the Blue Lagoon and some other islands. We had the Fish bites and chips(10$NZ), Tropical salad with chicken (15$NZ) and after that we had two halves of Chocolate and carrot cake with vanilla Ice cream (we asked them if we could have half and half to try both and they said "of course!" :) ).It was more than reasonably priced and the dishes were fresh and quite nice, especially the cake!Worth a try if you are around the area

We visited the place during day, lunch, dinner, afternoon, etc... Never disappointed. Friendly staff, good food, many relics to see and read on the wall around...Recommend to book especially for dinner! Price is good, the portion is very much enough. Very popular for locals, so good place to meet new friends!Seat in the garden - the lagoon front if it is very pretty, and if you are lucky you can see the plane take off...
