Reviewed By LegendErikSpent a night last week in this hotel, and must confess that everything was beyond my expectations. The hotel is newly built (still undergoing some works), located in peaceful area, with some nice breakfast (cold cut, cheese, vegetable, eggs, coffee). The staff is amazing. They are really helpful and even when I realized that the payment for ordered pizza can not be done by card, they were ready to help me and paid in cash. Overall I have nothing bad I can say about :-)

Koliba Kamzik is located at the beginning of one of the most famous parts of The High Tatras, Stary Smokovec. The Koliba Kamzik building does not offer only accommodation but also a restaurant, where the breakfast for the guests is served. The reception is on the spot, open daily from 7 am until 6 pm. The reception offers bike rental.Studio is suitable for 2-4 people. Studio consists of one room with living space with double bed and sofa bed for two people, TV, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and WC. When making a booking, please state your bed preferance (double bed / twin beds). The bed preference depends on the availability of the studios. Apartment is suitable for 2-4 people. Apartment consists of 2 rooms: bedroom with double bed, living room with sofa bed for 2 people, kitchenette, bathroom with shower and WC.
GReat place to stay in Smokovec
Reviewed By BonckiWe really enjoyed our stay in Aplend Kamzak apartments. Check in was smooth and fast, and we received a comfortable apartment with separate bedroom as booked. It had a small kitchenette, so we also could prepare some or our own meals. Cleaning is only once during your stay, but you can book extra cleaning for a fee. The attached restaurant served a good breakfast and we also had a nice dinner there. The village of Smokovec is small and everything is closeby, a small supermarket within 5 minutes walking and the ski slopes 10-15 minutes. Also the train station is close, where you can take a train to Poprad, Tatransky Lomnica or Strbske Pleso. All in all a great recommendation!

Penzión ALTMAYER je jedinečným a osobitným poľovníckym zariadením s bohatou zbierkou trofejí voľne žijúcej poľovnej zveri. Je ideálnym miestom na organizovanie slávnostných podujatí nielen pre poľovníkov, ale aj pre priateľov poľovníctva, prírody a krajiny. Penzión svojím zameraním propaguje poľovníctvo ako súčasť plnohodnotnej voľnočasovej aktivity a spoločenského života. Nachádza sa v malebnom prostredí Štiavnických vrchov, na severovýchodnom okraji Obce Štiavnické Bane, v časti Horná Roveň. Túto lokalitu na úpätí vrchu Tanád (906 m n. m.) vlastnili a využívali majitelia baní a ťažobných spoločností už v 16. a 17. storočí. Pôvodní majitelia boli nemeckej národnosti, žijúci v tom čase v kráľovskom meste Banská Štiavnica a toto miesto využívali ako pasienky pre domáce hospodárske zvieratá. Odtiaľ je odvodený názov penziónu „Altmayer – Starý Majer“.
excellent food and nice staff
Reviewed By NataliaSilkywe visited the restaurant by chance. It was very pleasant. Place has two terraces, great views. The place is very much oriented on game. And the dishes from game are gorgeous. We had main course, but luckily we asked the main course to be split on two plates. It was great food but simply too much ? We could enter the terrace with a small dog, so that was great too. Thank you!

Odlično mesto za predah
Reviewed By Biljana DSmeštajna jedinica u kojoj smo boravili nalazi se u studentskom domu. Veoma je prostrana, odlično osvetljena i prilično dobro opremljena (TV, mini linija, osnovno posudje i pribor za jelo, električni bokal, frižider). Na spratu takodje postoji i zajednička kuhinja, tako da je moguće i samostalno pripremanje jela. Nalazi se na 15 min. peške od starog grada, raspolaže besplatnim parkingom, a ispred same zagrade se nalazi i tramvajsko stajalište više linija.

Reasonable accomodation for reasonable price
Reviewed By Sandra PThe accomodation is clean, with sufficient parking space. The breakfast is ok, with 4 choices and a cereal bar. The lady owner is really nice, very hospitable and helpful. It was pleasant to stay here. All the basics are covered, though nothing too fancy.

basic hostel "hotel"
Reviewed By NZAUSUK2015Nothing flash but it has what you need...a bed the single rooms were a good size and warm but it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. They don't have room service have anything in the room part from soap and toilet paper. No hairdryer, but reception has one if you ask. also their wasn't a safe in my room and the doors didn't seem the most secure. A couple of the people we were with had to change rooms due to a strong gas smell but they people that worked there were happy to facilitate this. You have a choice of 3 breakfast to choose from but i would recommend going into the city instead if you have time. no toaster for your break and the coffee is instant. The staff were friendly don't speak very good english, helps to have someone that speaks the language. Overall if your after something warm cheap and close to the airport then this will be fine but not for luxury.

the hotel hosted 3 weddings until 2 a.m and we couldn't sleep. the noise was terrible.
Reviewed By yaelinbarbthe hotel has 3 wedding halls near the rooms. nobody warned us that the night we arrived there will be 3 parties/ the mannager lied and told us it will be over untill 23:00 but they lasted until 2 a.m. they take the money in advance and didn't offer any compesation for the night we didn't sleep. the rooms are very big and clean. breakfast was very good but we did not enjoy our stay.
