Our family was traveling from Tokyo to Shimoda when we came across this restaurant. I was lucky that my wife volunteered to drive to our hotel. This restaurant specializes in fresh seafood and locally made beer. If you compare to price in the city it is very reasonable. We were there at lunch time so place was buzzing with customers. Place was packed. Surprisingly customer service was pretty good, they did not fall apart. I would recommend this place to any seafood lover.and don't drink and drive!!

You will find a very cozy restaurant offering a variety of fresh fish but also other Japanese specialities. This is certainly an insider tip in Ito, usually also used by many locals from Ito. Make sure to have a reservation otherwise you can be pretty sure not to get a seat. The prices are very reasonable especially if compared to Tokyo. The staff is very friendly, as long as you are able to communicate with them in Japanese. I didnât try it out but I am quite sure that they donât speak any English at all. Absolutely recommendable.

Some of the best sushi I've had in Japan. The quality of all the fish was great. Usually places have some good and some bad or just ok pieces. This place really impressed me because it was all excellent! Conveyor belt style with a la carte ordering. Didn't speak much English but had an English menu and were very friendly! Reasonably priced, especially for the quality. We paid about $50 for two of us

We ate here as a family of five. The meal was good, fish was fresh and plenty of food. But for Japan I thought prices were a little high. I also don't love having to take off shoes--I know that's traditional of ryokans and onsens but not large restaurants. I would try somewhere new next time just to do so, but I wouldn't be opposed if someone wanted to go here again.

Restaurant run by Diving Fisherman.Corner seat in window side has the best view.I was exiciting to have a local fresh Sashimi. However, I could eat much better one in front of Tokyo station!I'm expecting that they should be able to serve a truly fresh sashimi next time.Sashimi Teishoku: 2100JPY

Delicious !! The shrimp tempura was lovely . The soba was al dente which was quite different from what we were used to

Kunihachi was recommended by one of the staff at Kâs House and the recommendation was absolutely correct. We ate here every night of our Ito stay. Itâs a strange little place, crammed with tchotchkes. There are posting of rave reviews, many including drawings, from previous customers on slips of paper tacked around the place. The waitress (owner?) encouraged us to choose the set menu, but we preferred to select what we wanted. Our first dinner order was a few sticks of yakitori, squid fried with garlic (excellent), eggplant stuffed with fish paste (very, very good), pork with chili sauce (the pork was fattier than I prefer but I know itâs considered better this way), and fish deep fried and sauced with kelp sauce (also excellent!) and two beers. Everything was great. On our next visits, she didnât bother to encourage us to choose the set meal, she knew that we would pick from the whole menu and let her know when we were ready. We ate at the counter each night and found the camaraderie with the other guests and the occasional interaction with the cook (owner?) to be great fun.By the time we ate our third meal there we were âregularsâ!!!

A very small restaurant and the queue is long! Popular with locals bringing the whole family. The unagyu was excellent tasting. One of the best I have tasted. Melt in your mouth with just enough rice. The soup and oshinko accompaniments were also great tasting. Quick turnarounds and cost at the high end but well worth it in taste!

This place is very good. I went there twice in 2 consecutive days. Itâs specialty is tuna. All kinds of tuna dishes with different parts of tuna. Another worth trying dish is red snapper. Very delicious. If you are fond of fresh juices, the must try item is strawberry juice. Freshly made from 100% pure strawberry with no sugar added. Service was excellent too.

Apparently this place is famous in Ito. Located within a walking distance from Ito station. We waited for little over an hour which is considered not long for the weekend. The sashimi and donburi was really good and cheap. Although the fish was too meaty for my liking. They also serve Nimono and fried fish for people who don't eat raw fish. I recommend the fried fish set. Menu is with picture so even if you don't speak Japanese you'll be fine.
