Would not accommodate COVID-19 cancellation

Reviewed By Aleksey G

My wife and I had booked a trip to Japan several months before COVID-19 became news. Our airline changed our flight details after the US recommendations to cease all nonessential travel and we had to cancel our trip. We had booked several hotels throughout Japan for our two week stay. Every single one of those hotels allowed us to cancel our reservation and receive a full refund except for this one. We reached out to the hotel management to see what options we had available, not only did they decline a refund request but they also would not honor a future booking using the amount we paid. Furthermore, instead of cancelling our reservation they instead marked us as a no-show despite having submitted the cancellation request weeks before we were to arrive. Based on our experience I would not recommend using their services.

One night in Tokyo

Reviewed By Expedition424127

What a great little hotel! Literally little. Four of us stayed in the business class cabins for one night whilst in transit from Tokyo to Nozawaonsen. Ichigaya is a little bit out of the way from Tokyo central but the hotel was very cool. Our tiny rooms were everything we needed for one night. They were safe and secure and very clean. The bathrooms and amenities were perfect and the staff were great. I definitely recommend this quirky little place if you have one night spare to try something fun!

Cheap!

This hostel is a great location near to the train station. Cheapest hostel I stayed in during my time in tokyo. I wouldn't reccomend it as the beds were so uncomfortable but it was totally manageable. Showers were fine, only waited 5 minutes to use it one day, other days there were no wait. Washing facilities were great too. Felt relatively safe because lockers were available.

Great stay

Reviewed By tmcmannon

The lobby is located on the 4th floor. The men’s dorm is on the 4th floor and women’s on the 3rd. You have a locker to store your stuff, but those who had bigger luggage kept them in the locker area. There were 2 hangers, a bath towel, and washcloth in the locker for you. They have a coin washer and dryer. Slippers for you to use since street shoes aren’t allowed inside. Your capsule is clean, cute and quirky. You have 2 outlets, a light, mirror, shall shelf, 2 wall hooks, pillow, and blanket. The door is just a pull down cover. The front door is controlled access with a key so it felt safe. It was pretty quiet, but being ear plugs for the small noises of people’s movements. WiFi was free and pretty good. They rent a WiFi puck if you need it. Toilets, sinks/vanity, showers, and one bath tub are separate. Hot water in the shower took a bit of time to warm up in the morning. They were pretty clean. Community bottles of lotion, body spray, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap is provided. They also have a community blow dryer, straighter, and curling iron for use at the vanity area. Cotton swabs, combs, and toothbrush is available at the vanity area. There is a beverage vending machine and a water dispenser (near the sinks) with paper cups available. I recommend!

Nine Hours Woman Shinjuku

not so relaxing

Reviewed By nagoyasakura

This is a new nine hours capsule hotel. The design and the colors feels heavy, there’s something in the character of the hotel that makes me feel not relaxed. I know Japanese are very polite but during my 2 nights stay the people are just so noisy , I can hear their steps walking so heavily, throwing some stuffs on their bed, banging the doors without respecting people who are sleeping. And there was a time I thought there’s an earthquake because my capsule bed is shaking so when I go out I just realized it’s just the woman moving at the top.
