With all the rave on the internet, this place was the place i am looking forward to the most during my visit in October. The friends that i went with said the steak here is super good. The place i went was not too far from the place we stay in Ampang. Pros : 1) Variety of steak selection from grass fed to idk what fed. 2) Price to me were reasonable as the price tag is on the item itself. 3) free flow drinks 4) You can browse thru everything before choosing5) Crazy good steakCons: 1) The server was not very informative as when my friends went previously the server walk you thru different kind of meat & reccomendation were made when you tell them the characteristics of steak you prefer. Might be the consistency of product knowledge is lacking. 2) We wanted to split bills as we go in a group of six. But in the end they charge us as a whole instead of individuals. Other than the two cons i stated above. Everything was superbly good. The steak is a must try. Please try this & skip Tony Romas.

Arrived in KL late so decided to try hotel restaurant instead of doing any searches. Food is good, small European menu specialising in steaks. The Black Angus was excellent, so was the Crab Tartare. Service needs more attention to detail Iâm afraid. Our waitress was friendly and obliging. But when you are paying premium money, I do expect to be asked if we wanted drinks whilst we were looking at the menus and bread rolls to be served before the starters. The kitchen door was wide open so we could see in and faced a glow of white florescent lights. We asked for it to be closed so we could enjoy the restaurant scenery and the outside views of the Twin Towers. If I had booked this restaurant for a special occasion, the above comments would have really spoiled the evening as you would want things to be perfect and seemless.Dear KTL2007,Warmest greetings from Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Fresh operated just 3 months and the authentic UK Derby style garner my attention. I chose rump as it's a rare selection. The result came out good in medium doneness and kinda big portion. Just slightly unhappy with the greenbean side, the rest is decent especially fries and onion rings. Overall is spendid and mouth-watering 4-meal course, with such attentive services and cozy decor. I took some business people here for a steak dinner. Last time I was very disappointed when we went to one of the top steakhouses that happened to be in a hotel--bad service and way overpriced. I really liked The Steakhouse. Its very unpretentious and the steaks are really good. There are better places for atmosphere if you are on a romantic quest, but if what you really want is a great steak meal this one is for you. Great cuts of meat, good service. I had the crab cakes for a starter, also very good. My only complaint is the wine list, I think they can do a lot better here but if above average wine is not your thing then you will be fine here. We booked here on a Friday evening after reading great reviews and we were not disappointed, we both chose the tasting menu but without the wine pairing, every course was superb and the service was also faultless, my personal favorite was the mushroom starter, so.light but with intense flavor which the chef when he came to our table said it takes days to make, if you are looking for a special occasion dinner this place is definitely the place to go.

Ordered 150 days aged wagyu but chef came back and recommended 250 days aged for the same price. Cooked to perfection and offered complimentary dessert: truffle flavored! Overall, great experience, attentive service, and delicious house wine.
