We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of 4 x 4 adventures. It didn’t disappoint. The food was wonderful especially the pie and the desserts. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Well worth a visit if you are in this neck of the woods.

The Stag, wonderful place to stay

Reviewed By karen2064s

My family and I, age range 25 to 85 stayed here for our 4th stay in The Stag. We have been coming to Silverglades for 8 years. Such a lovely place to stay, very comfortable, exceptionally clean, everything you could need provided. Aviemore is just a 10 minute walk away and Dalfaber is lovely for meals, we also played Badminton there too, again just a few minutes walk away. Lovely helpful staff, we were kept fully informed and sent information from the time of booking. Also thankyou for the bottle of Prosecco and shortbread biscuits, tea, coffee and milk, a lovely touch. Will definitely be staying here again ❤

Loch Rannoch Highland Club

The Loch Rannoch Highland Club is a Timeshare Holiday complex of 85 properties in the picturesque village of Kinloch Rannoch, in Perthshire, Scotland. Our apartments and Lodges can accommodate between 4 and 8 guests. The properties are available to rent, and a few are available for resale, at very competitive prices. The Highland Club is on the banks of Loch Rannoch, a beautiful loch surrounded by walks and scenic locations. The wild Rannoch Moor stretches to the west, and the Tay Forest Park lies along its southern short. The loch, and the Highland Club are presided over by the majestic Schiehallion, or Sidh Chailleann in Gaelic (Fairy Hill of the Caledonians). This Munro is one of the best known in Scotland, and offers breathtaking views and walks.Nestled on the shores of Loch Rannoch, the Loch Secluded and tranquil, as the early morning mists rise slowly from the Loch it is easy to surmise how JM Barrie was inspired to write Peter Pan during his visits to Loch Rannoch area. The imagination can envisage through the mists the bow wave from Hook's ship as it slowly moves towards its Anchorage. The clubs' set activities include; - "the clan night" where two of our tame and (usually) pacified Highlanders give an extremely interesting talk on local history, the clan system, highland dress, and weaponry. The club organised guided walks are set at a pace that everybody can enjoy. Why not spend an evening showing off your intellectual skills at the club quiz night? A water colour masterclass is also provided by the club with a guarantee that every participant will leave with a painting. Of course, no visit to Scotland would be complete without participating in a whisky tasting class. The clubs set activities are included in the price of your accommodation.Providing comfortable self catering accommodation in a breath-taking setting, with fabulous views over Loch Rannoch each unit is comprehensively fitted out with everything you could require making this your home from home in the Highlands. From Rannoch Station you can catch the train to Fort William and then carry on to Mallaig, either by ScotRail or by the world famous Jacobean steam railway following the renowned route used by this steam locomotive in the Harry Potter films.By road Pitlochry, Perth, Aberfeldy, Aviemore and Inverness are easily within day visit radius.Wi-Fi facilities are provided free on-site.

Views to die for

Booked for two nights for an impromptu break. Check-in although rather late (5pm) was smooth and staff very helpful. The location for us was perfect, tranquil and truly beautiful. The allocated parking proved to be tricky as we had to negotiate a tight narrow hairpin bend. The space for the car was very tight and not much room for other cars to get past so we were glad that we brought the small car otherwise we would have really struggled with the larger one. We stayed in Red Deer 6 accessed by some stairs. Our lodge although a bit dated, was perfect, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. The glassed-in balcony was very roomy and provided the most spectacular views over Loch Rannoch and the mighty Schiehallion. Glad that we brought our own food as there aren't many shops locally. There is no petrol station locally so make sure that you have plenty of fuel as the nearest station is in Aberfeldy, a 16-mile drive, Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were able to relax and take in those beautiful views, I would certainly return.

Thoughtfully designed and exceptionally well equipped holiday home. Very close to North Berwick but secluded and peaceful. Having stayed at many U.K. holiday homes this is certainly in our top three. Hosts are discrete but charming and enormously helpful. They did everything in their power to ensure a memorable experience. Genuinely dog friendly and suitable for disabled guests.

A perfect week over Christmas to unwind, explore the countryside, and enjoy a breakaway. David was quick to assist with any requests or help, a great place to stay we highly recommend it.

We had the best time in Highland Farm Cottages! The cottage was amazing and the view unbelievable. There was view from all the bedrooms and garden access. The cottage was spotless clean and it felt fresh and airy! It was very well equipped and 3 bed rooms had ensuites! The staff were so helpful, also suggesting places to explore and see! It was great to be at the same location as the cafe so we could enjoy freshly brewed coffee, late breakfast and lunches. We re already planning to go back again!
