Reviewed By he-H767Nabburg is a medieval town in Upper Palatinate close to the former (!) border between Western Germany and the GDR. The hotel is located in the historic part of the town (parking space behind the hotel). You may even walk from the train station to the hotel although it will take you some minutes climbing the Nabburg hill. However, I expected a kind of small historic room with outdated interior... but I was totally wrong and I was extremely surprised... a large room (five windows or so), a sofa, a long chair, two desks, a large double bed... and a lot of space (just if you want to dance or so). The bathroom is in modern style with a large wash-bowl made of glass and a properly separated shower. The breakfast is nice with a wide variety. Don't be surprised if the personal grabs you already on the floor and asks you for tea/coffee and your preferred style of eggs. The personnel was very friendly and helpful. I really like this hotel :) PS: As far as I know, there is no "Alter Pfarrhof" in 92421 Schwandorf, but I may be wrong. However, the street and the house number match the "Alter Pfarrhof" in 92507 Nabburg.

Sehr ruhig, gutes Essen (nach Renovierungsarbeiten auch tolle überdachte Restaurant Terrasse mit super Blick) und Frühstück, sehr guter Service und ein super Preisleistungsverhältniss. Nach dem guten Essen kann man toll unten direkt am Fluss spazieren gehen!

Reviewed By Ingo HWhen you get a room at the Grabinger, you are in good hands. No matter if it is just a stopover for one night or a holiday trip with your family. The parking lot is big enough even for beginners or trailer drivers. No matter what and when something comes out of the kitchen, it is simply first class. "Special requests", if there are any, are usually fulfilled/executed by the Grabinger team so quickly and well that you and your wife have nothing to complain about. The rooms I used during my three visits in the last 7 or 8 years were very clean and well/sensibly furnished. Stable, firm beds in which you can sleep well. The price/performance ratio is, in my opinion, very good. Beim Grabinger biste, wenn Du ein Zimmer bekommst, bestens aufgehoben. Ganz gleich ob es nur ein Stopover für eine Nacht, oder ein Ferientrip mit der Familie ist. Der Parkplatz ist selbst für Fahranfänger und Gespannfahrer groß genug. Egal was und wann etwas aus der Küche kommt, es ist schlicht erstklassig. "Sonderwünsche", so es sie denn gibt, werden vom Grabinger Team in aller Regel so schnell und gut erfüllt/ausgeführt das man(n) und auch Frau nix zu meckern hat. Die Zimmer die ich bei meinen drei bisherigen Besuchen in den letzten 5 oder 6 Jahren nutzte waren sehr sauber und gut/sinnvoll eingerichtet. Stabile, feste Betten in denen es sich gut schlafen lässt.

Reviewed By Karen SWe booked the Doppelzimmer "big" room to give ourselves (two adults) more space, and that worked well for us. Despite the spacious room, the shower stall was pretty tight. The website has 12 room pictures that aren't labeled by room type, so it's a little tough to know what you're looking at (if that matters to you). The staff (seemed like a husband and wife) were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast spread, always something to look forward to in Germany, was huge--lots to choose from. If you drive, note that the steep driveway is no joke. You have to gun it to get up the driveway, then make a quick, almost 180-degree turn to get into the main part of the parking lot.
