Südbahnhof is good for a nice after work drink or snack, but not a good location for dining out. You will get the usual sandwiches, flutes, salads and pizza at good value. Alternatively, you might want to check out the sunday brunch.

I had heard some positive things about this restaurant, but also some negative things. We visited the place in August 2013 and had a nice evening. the food was actually some of the best I have hd in Neumünster for more than 30 years of visits. It looked very nice and it had really gourmet quality. The young waiter did not know to much about wine and the service was a bit slow.If I would know that this was the standard level of the food, I would recommend it to everyone.

Went here for breakfast on Sunday morning. The food was ok, but I found it completely overpriced, considering all the bakeries around serving fresh breads at less then half the price.

Family Keste is running the fish supplier Keste Meeresdelikatessen which is present on a good dozen markets in the area, selling their fresh fish. Here, in their restaurant in Neumünster they also sell fresh. fish, but besides their great selection of fresh fish they also offer simple, local fish dishes for very little money. The fish comes with simple side dishes (some salad, potatoes, fried potatoes or potato salad) which are good, but not fancy, but this is not, what you should put into the focus of your attention. It is the fish that makes the dish. Very generous portions of it, freshly cooked when ordered and very, very yummy. You will notice, that the fish is simply fresher here, than anywhere else, as they do not have to get it delivered. They do the delivering to others.You can eat a la carte or pick one of their daily menues. Either of them is great. The fish dominates the dish and it is cooked to maintain as much flavour of the fish as possible. This place worships the fish as eaten locally. If you like fish or want to get to know the local way to eat fish I could not imagine a better place to go to. As they target locals, the prices are really low. Best value fish ever.

Kontraste features a large number of dishes on the menu. The food is not inteded to be served for a dining out experience, but rather offers decent food for a good value while you are out for a drink. This combination has made the Kontraste made of the favorite place to go to as a group after you finished with whatever you did before (music, sports, school).

A very positive dinner experience. Traveling on the A7 autobahn we were looking for an alternative to the service station for dinner. We found this family run restaurant just 5 minutes off the autobahn.The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming, the food was great and plentiful, the service was very friendly and the price very cheap. We even got a welcome drink and one when leaving.A very good alternative to a service station stop if you got a little extra time. Well worth it.

Within walking distance off city center, you find this cozy place. Portions are big, and unless you are very hungry you dont need starters. You get typical german bread and spreadable fat foro free. Meals are typcal germans with vegetarian options.The schnitzels are highly recommended. For deserrt we got a free snaps.Service is very friendly and dining room very nice.

Beautifully redecorated restaurant in the old Einfeld Bahnhof (Train Station).The menu leans toward haute-cuisine, and is therefore on the more pricey side. The food is of definite chef quality.The carrot-ginger soup was out-of-this-world delicious - seasoned with just a touch of curry, which really danced well with the subtle ginger flavour. I could have had several bowls of this soup for my meal, and been perfectly happy.I had never tried sauerfleisch before. When I mentioned this to our waiter (who turned out to be none other than Chef Oliver Auch, himself!) he brought me a rather generous sample to try. I liked it, but it wasn't quite what I was in the mood for, for dinner.I ordered the "Würziges Wokgemüse (Spicey Wok vegetables) with teriyaki-pepper marinated beef strips. The vegetables were perfectly stir-fried: cooked, warm, yet firm and crunchy. The beef was cooked just the way I like it: medium rare, although I was not asked, nor did I specify this. We did not have dessert, as we were sufficiently full from the generous portions.We had to wait a little long to pay our bill, but then again, the chef was also waiting tables, so this is understandable.It is so nice to have food of this calibre in Einfeld. Normally, I would expect to have to travel to Hamburg to find it!Welcome, Chef Auch!-- I should also mention that, before this visit, I was the restaurants very first customer! I stopped by on a warm day in April, looking for a place to relax and drink a beer. A lovely young lady explained to me that they would not be open for business until the following week. Nevertheless, she pulled a table and chair out onto the patio, and cheerfully brought me a beer. A customer for life was earned! : )

It's convenient location near the school we were working at attracted us to Blechnapf. The warm ambience, courteous service (English understood) and delicious food kept us returning several times. Delicious salads and vegan selections were most welcome.
