Slipped a little

This hotel has been punching above it’s weight but slipped back when I visited last weekend. Just a few little things: no clothes hangers in the room, floor 11 corridor carpet needs cleaning, coffee/drinks bar in the lobby not open at all that I could see.

Solid choice

Ibis and Adagio share the same facilities, with rooms in the latter larger. This time I stayed in the Ibis. Staff as usual excellent, nice new GM. As Ibis's go - you will struggle to find a better one. Rooms are modern, quiet, with decent wifi (sadly not my experience in Riyadh a night later), and the lobby area is nice to relax in. The pool is also much more stylish than you'd expect from the brand. The highlight is the breakfast - which without any exaggeration is something you'd expect to find at the Ritz-Carlton. The choice is vast and with numerous healthy options. All in all difficult to beat this place at these rates.

Zaha Hotel

Not bad for price!

Reviewed By aasalik

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Madinah. The room was shared with a family of three and was adequate. We had to ask for room service and loo rolls. They didn’t know what toilet roll was and had to say toilet paper or toilet tissue or even bog roll. Any way we ended up showing them what it was! Apart from that drama we were out all the time.

Fakhamet Al Taif Hotel Apartments

Nice Clean Hotel with Good Staff

Reviewed By urShadow

Positives: - Check-in was not that smooth because the receptionist said that we were late and our booked studio room had been given to someone else. It was around 8:45pm and there was no such condition mentioned in their desc. nor they gave any call before canceling our confirmed booking, but they upgraded us to single room apartment instead of studio room in the same price. - The hotel looked neat and clean. - Apartment size was good, it was similar to the pictures given on booking.com. - Lighting was very good. - The cooling of the AC was good. - Washroom size was good and drainage was working fine. - We could easily make the room dark enough, to sleep in the daytime. - WiFi was good. - We didn't have to wait much for the lifts. - Free parking was available around the hotel. - There were supermarkets within the walking distance. - Value for Money. - I would like to stay here again if I can manage to get a room away from the road. Negatives: - Soundproofing of the room was very poor, the window was near a busy road thus a light sleeper cannot sleep from the noise of the traffic. - Rooms keys use to stop working every day thus we had to visit reception to get keys renewed.

Below expectations

Reviewed By R_Shares

Check was friendly and smooth. Front desk workers were friendly, but seemed a little bit lost. My room was elegant and spacious. The bathroom however is small, and whenever you take a shower the floor gets flooded with water, it's unacceptable. The beach is at a walking distance, however it has a different management, so you have to pay an additional entrance fee. When we were there the beach had reached its full capacity and won't let additional people in. The free beach looks great, but you can't swim because of the rocks. We ventured in, we had to surface-swim and try to maneuver around rocks and slimy stuff for a 100 meter (maybe more) to get to swimmable area, but by then we were tired and it wasn't that great. Breakfast at the hotel is served by a restaurant (Casper and Gambini) that offered a wide choice of the tastiest food you can think of. The restaurant seemed under staffed as the outdoor tables were slightly dirty and there was food leftovers on the floor around the tables. Nevertheless, the food was great and the service was very good. Also near the hotel there is a beach strip where there is a good number of restaurants, but our experience with the service at these restaurants was not good, and the food was below average. There is a nice open area on grass where kids can play and parents relax, that's a major plus. At the lobby there is a small self-serve area to purchase water and other necessities, works smooth and fine. You need a car to get from Jeddah to KAEC, and the hotel has an underground parking, that's a good thing.
