Reviewed By 453ruxandrasYesterday we left the hotel after a 6 night stay. The hotel is one of the best I have ever been. It is very clean, all the hotel stuff is very friendly and ready to help although not all of them understand basic English. Room was above expectation with a very big balcony, all the furniture and other accessories in good shape. The breakfast and dinner was exceptional! Usually when there is a buffet, food is average. At Katarino, the food is great, you can surely find something on your taste. Fish every dinner, pork, chicken, veal. A lot of greens and salads. Sweets are also home made. Pasta for grown ups and children. One of the best calamari I have eaten in a buffet. At breakfast everything is tasty. The only 3 minuses I find in this hotel and should be improved are: - The coffee was a minus for me. Best coffee in the hotel is the Nespresso in the room. Also the coffee from the bar is poor. I would have paid more for a good coffee. You should have a good one at least at the bar. - The cocktails are also a great minus. We have ordered 3 different types and all have been poor. - at dinner you should have free tap water. For charge in the bottle, but at least give people the option of tap water. Spa is above a 4 star hotel. The swimming pools are spacy and the whole are is clean. We have also taken a massage for 50 minutes, and for the quality it has, it is cheap 75 Leva. If i knew it would be this great the massage i would have booked daily a massage, it s worth every penny. Even the guy from ski rent equipment has been very nice. We were here with 2 other families. Each one had a child between 5 an 6. The children have mega fun in this hotel. Each day swimming pool, bowling, hockey. They had also great fun! I would come over and over again at Katarino. Congratulation to all the team!

The apartments have spacious living rooms with equipped kitchens, sofa bed or bedrooms. Most apartments have a balcony traditional wood burning fireplace and a balcony and are available upon request. Our 3 bedroom chalets have 3 double bedrooms, a large lounge and dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, 1 ensuite and 1 guest bathroom a garden and outside eating area.

Reviewed By arhexpresThe location of the hotel makes it possible to practice golf, nearby is the resort of Bansko, suitable for winter sports, as well as other interesting places that can be visited and explored. We had private transport which provided us with freedom to choose interesting places to visit. I would recommend if you are not on private transport to use a hire car. The wonderful views, the clean air, the tranquility the resort offers are its hallmark.

Poor quality and bad service

The receptions personel is giving inconsistent information about available rooms and amenities in the rooms. Some of the rooms lack proper lighting. We wanted to spend 1 more night in the hotel and asked upfront if we book 1 more night whether we would need to change the room. We were assured that we are going to stay in the same rooms for this extra night but in the morning started to receive calls how we need to change rooms. Although for the same price the new rooms were smaller, did not have a sofa and a coffe table, the view was not towards the golf course but towards the street ans the balcony wqs smaller. Staff tried to play it as that there was a misunderstabding between us and them but later confirmed that the mistake was theirs. 1 out of the 3 Spa rooms was not working, leaving us with only a Sauna and a Steam Room. Water in the pool is not warm and may be too cold for some people. Pros: OK food The beds were comfortable One of the staff members was kind and honeat with us. Would not repeat a visit to the hotel.

My worst Christmas vacation
Reviewed By IovivoinBulgariait's a lousy structure, I suffered from the cold during the night, the toilet didn't work it didn't drain! the restaurant did not give what was proposed in the menu, they did not allow me to have breakfast when on 12/25/2020 I ran away from this place, Booking.com advertises this place, I will never use Booking.com to book a Hotel again, I recommend to internet users: delete booking.com from their options. I paid the full amount at check-in on 12/24/2020 for 11 nights but at check-out on 12/25/2020 they did not refund me the amount for the 10 nights I did not use! I trusted the booking.com reviews but I am convinced that they are fake but if you don't believe me this is my e-mail [email protected]

Reviewed By Teodora SThe offer included wifi, spa massages (paid additionally) and pool with thermal water. Wifi was only available in the loby (not in the rooms), the spa was available only on Sunday, and we wanted to pay for the massages, and the pool was cold. The food was very poor and disgusting. The kids room was in the basement with no ventilation nor heating and it was dirthy.

Horse-riding is outstanding, horses are very well looked after, and they cater for beginners as well as advanced riders. Couldn’t recommend this place more.

What matters about Matterhorn: kind people & cosy
Reviewed By sadeeyorGeorge is a kind gentleman, and his daughter - who speaks very good English - is also a lovely understanding person. Razlog's not the most exciting place, but there are some pinewoods to wander through, great views of the mountains. The park and fountain area by Cafe Box is picturesque, twenty minutes walk. Train station also walkable: great wee narrow gauge railroad - one stop to Bansko in one direction, and a charming four-and-a-half hours to Septemvri threading between the Rila & Rodopi in other direction. Hadn't planned to stop here, were it not to meet a friend who's volunteering there. Bansko's got bags more character. WiFi slow, but functioned sufficiently for my basic needs. But importantly, Matterhorn is a peaceful comfortable base. George cooks breakfast for you too, in with the excellent value price. Facilities & company & atmosphere are absent in these harsh times, but I can't fault the hospitality. Mnogo blagodarya.

Excellent restaurant and hotel

Murite Club Hotel is the former White Fir Valley, a favourite recreation resort since 2008. The Hotel is situated in Razlog Valley within the Pirin Mountain National Park, one of the most picturesque Bulgarian spots where numerous historic sites, cultural heritages and natural preserves are found. Just 10 minutes drive away from the ski resort of Bansko.

This hotel has had a refurb and the rooms were of good quality. They were clean comfortable and very warm. The photos are accurate it is a lovely place and of a much higher standard that some places I have stayed in whilst skiing in the alps. The buffet breakfast was good, the earlier you go the better it is. The staff were friendly and helpful. The town of Bansko has grown a lot since I last visited 13 years ago and has a good selection of excellent restaurants and great Apres ski, virtually every venue we went to has some kind of live music at some point in the evening. It doesn't matter that Murite is a short drive out of town because taxis are cheap and very available. For me it was lovely to have the pool and sauna and a place that was out of town and away from the noisy nightclubs so that we always slept well. Our favorite restaurants were The House and Leonardo. Well done to the team at Murite for turning things around and making all the improvements that you have done. Keep it up!
