A beautiful old city home, converted into a beautiful restaurant, bakery and food-gift store. The brunch buffet was as delicious as it was extensive: 6-8 hot dishes of Mexican entrees (meats with vegetables in sauces); a perfect pozole; breads, both sweet and not (baked on premises), fruits, cheeses, fresh-sqeezed juices, cafe olla (must have), and desserts, including flan. Service terrific. Spectacular meal for about $12 including tip.

We were exhausted from driving and both had a terrible headache. We wanted something to ease it up. The restaurant was colorful and cozzy, service outstanding, specially when we asked for "classic guacamole" and it was prepared table side. We asked for "la generala" soup and "la mayora" soup. The three dishes were excellent and not expensive at all. We will definitively return, someday. By the time we finished our dinner headache was gone.

This restaurant is in a very nice setting on a lovely square. They were serving what looked like an enormous lunch buffet. But we ordered off the menu, and to our delight, they offered one of our favorites, Chile en nogada. This dish is seasonal, usually offered only from October, but this restaurant substituted something red for the fresh pomegranate seeds and it was still great. Very friendly service as well.

We had breakfast at 1810 spending on average 150 pesos per person plus tip. The chilaquiles are spicy, we asked if they have less spicy salsas, but they don’t . But they have other options with out chili like the Benedict eggs that are not great but ok.

Like most Yucatecan restaurants you find outside of Yucatan, this one is adjusting to its current market (Queretano) so they take liberties. #1 Lechon is not lechon, this is just pork (otherwise it would be very expensive, the texture/flavor would let you know) #2 The Pok Chuc is not the way it should be all nice and juicy, tender and amazing, this one is cut like cecina, super thin so it's very dry, overly peppered. #3 The Recado Negro doesn't have the right texture or flavor, the But is missing. #4 Got a side of Frijoles Charros, you would never see this in Yucatan, only black beans. #5 The Escabeche is quite bland and not right. #6 I got a side of Enchiladas Verdes on my dish, this would also never happen in Yucatan, they dislike Mexican anything. #7 Ordered the Filete de Cazon and got shredded fish which could have been anything. #8 The Pay de Guayaba is more like Panacota with way too much gelatin, flavorless. #9 The Flan was not baked with the burnt sugar syrup, you can tell by the bottom side, other syrup added after which was unpleasant. All in all we paid $700 for 3 people, way too much for the food that was received, small portions. While the Cochinita tastes good, its Pork with Achiote not Cochinita. They've taken some liberties which I understand them not being in Yucatan, but to those of us that have lived in Yucatan for years, well, it was disappointing. Stick to the Salbutes, Panuchos or Tostadas and the Agua de Lima. Basically the Achiote dishes.Another thing, they hurry you to order, eat (they take your plate and you're still working on it) like they don't have enough plates or something and it's rush rush rush since they are very busy, this was very unpleasant. Very small place so you knock into the next table or chair and it's a maze to negotiate.

Please do consider visiting this spot. Whatever motives you have for visiting the city, whether you are near or far, or how much time you have available are non-important questions. South american food is severely underrepresented across the world, but here you have the opportunity to try it for yourself. This is the first restaurant I have ever been to outside South America that produces genuinely tasty and amazingly well done replicas of various star South American dishes. The ambience is very cool and relaxed. Although the restaurant is small, the space looks and feels comfortable. The host, owner and chef makes incredible efforts to make every customer's experience unique. I will surely be returning ASAP. I personally recommend the Bandeja Paisa, always being my favorite dish. Order a café chorreado for dessert and be sure to take some arepas and pao de queijo home.

We were well looked after from arrival to leaving. Nobody ever had to ask for their next drink the waiters were so on the ball. They put 8 tables together to seat our party and this was ready. The food was delicious, menus are in English or Spanish. Communication was never an issue. Our party had a great evening. I skipped a starter but others had them, the special margharita was delicious. I had a steak stew with rice and beans. Loved the Churros save room for dessert! My only feedback would be that we found it hard to book a table without Spanish. Tried to book online and email and got no response. Calling is the best way, but have some Spanish. Once you book its worth it! Would recommend for a business meal or friends or a date. Worth the money.

Not sure if we went at an off time but this turned out to be our least favorite meal in Queretaro. I was really looking forward to the tamales but they were just ok. All of the dishes were fine but just not as good as the other restaurants we tried. We did go about a half hour before closing and were the only ones in the restaurant so not sure if that affected our experience. Prices were pretty inexpensive though.

Lack of customer service . We waited for our main course forever. Waiters were rude , I wanted to show some of my US colleagues what a wide variety of seafood (and preparations) we have in Mexico, but it was a total embarrassing situation. They should start with having a Menu in English as many restaurants do.
