Urbino (Italian: [urˈbiːno]; listen (help·info)) is a walled city in the Marche region of Italy, south-west of Pesaro, a World Heritage Site notable for a remarkable historical legacy of independent Renaissance culture, especially under the patronage of Federico da Montefeltro, duke of Urbino from 1444 to 1482. The town, nestled on a high sloping hillside, retains much of its picturesque medieval aspect. It hosts the University of Urbino, founded in 1506, and is the seat of the Archbishop of Urbino. Its best-known architectural piece is the Palazzo Ducale, rebuilt by Luciano Laurana.

Abbiamo prese delle patatine fritte. Sono ottime. Vi consiglio di chiedere poca salsa però, perchè le inondano letteralmente e non si riesce a gustarle al meglio. Un bel posto per uno spuntino

This small snack bar will cure your hungry stomach in a pleasant and effective way. It is very close to Palazzo Ducale, which is the main attraction at Urbino. They serve snacks and drinks at reasonable prices. You pay a bit extra for the location. The food is of OK quality, they have sandwiches, toast, and a local snack, which is made of very thin slices of bread which can be served with a wide variety of toppings.Within a short distance from the Palazzo, this is one of the few places where you can have a quick bite to eat. The food is simple but good.

I came here on my 1st night in Urbino, and decided to have the tuna and onion pizza, out of the very large selection they offer. There was a short wait, but service was fast, certainly considering how busy was. The pizza however was a disappointment, not very tasty, and soggy. However, it did fill me up, and it was also very cheap.

Have been here a few times with friends and by myself also. I love it because it is not only an interesting place (with the wild west theme) but the menu is great and massive...there are probably 100 piadinas in addition to other things not normally found. Burgers, cooked breakfasts etc the food is good and reasonably priced and of course they serve a wide range of drinks also....all in all one i always look forward to coming too !!

This place is a great take-away specialising in Genoese fast foods, pizza etc. It is extremely well-priced and the service is friendly and helpful. There are even tables and seats outside and if you're lucky the sun will be shinning.

This hole-in-the-wall type place is an institution in Urbino. Here they made fresh daily, pizza bianca (similar to focaccia without sauce or toppings) and pizza rossa (piazza bianca with tomato base). If you are coming to Urbino and want to sample some of Urbinoâs best pizza at a true pizza al taglio (pizza by the slice sold at small take-away shop), then head to Il Buco and order up a slice of Pizza Rossa!
